Though, why oh why, the RNS wasn't worded as follows, is anybody's guess.

This was a genuine inquiry from an established events business in southern Spain sent on 20th May via the Avacta website. He even quoted his next 'live' event happening on 10th June.

To date, he has received no reply from Avacta. Could be the enquiry slipped through the net, or they decided someone was on a fishing exercise, or maybe AVACTA just have bigger fish to fry. I half expected the enquiry would be passed on to Medusa, but nothing from them either.

@Bella. I've always thought the tie up with Mologic will prove hugely significant for Avacta going forward, both for covid and 'other' tests. Just to add some food for thought to your good work:

I wondered about that too CO. Almost sounds like the deal has been changed/renegotiated a bit, whereby Medusa now only have exclusive DTC on the 'self-test', rather than 'self-test' and 'professional'. Maybe Avacta used the excuse of the test now being AN, rather than saliva (and hence a different entity to that in the original agreement), to strengthen their position in the relationship/agreement.

I would imagine if the email was legit, the MHRA will be quite embarrassed by this. It may well encourage them to expedite the corrected application.

On the subject of Surescreen, after it was noted yesterday that Toyota are helping them out as well as Omega and GAD, I did a bit of digging around to see how good their test is. Found no detailed info on their website, but eventually found a data sheet that exists(ed) on the Wolf Labs website. They don't provide any analysis of CT ranges etc., they just report on 'Days from Onset of Symptoms'. Not as good as ours, since at best 93.33% sensitivity for Oro and 96% for Naso (no figures quoted for AN , though you would imagine less sensitivty for AN). And, the cohort numbers are really quite small.

I noticed that Wolf laboratories are selling the Surescreen test, however, they state on their website that it can't be ordered on-line because it's currently 'professional use' only. You can however order it over the phone. I expect the same situation will exist re: Medusa sales of affidx.
