Reading an interview with Dr Angus on 9th April , he says they were rapidly trying to get the US hospitals hardwired into the REMAP system for reporting data back . They hope to expand to 200 hospitals . There are more taking part , but its getting them linked into the main database system that is preventing more showing up on the REMAP hub .
The key is having a common shared patient record system so that the data can be assimilated correctly .
He says - “We have multiple sites in the U.S. that are interested in joining,” Angus said. “If they want to embed this inside their EHRs, we will be sharing with them our tools, tips and triumphs, but they will have to do the hard wiring themselves."

REMAP is using computer AI machine learning to tailor the treatments.
Not many FDA trials doing that

So , as of the weekend , we had 40 hospitals in the States on it .
We know that California and Texas institutes were involved in the REMAP protocol documents.

US has 600,000 cases as of today

Pennsylvania had 1000+ new cases today ( third largest increase in all US states )
Thats where the 40 hospitals are .

So that 173 patients on website probably alot higher .

In all the excitement of getting on the trial , its important to reflect on how groundbreaking and innovative this REMAP adaptive trial actually is , and how fortunate we are to be part of it .

I just wrote half a page that then disappeared -
never mind - just usual fun and games making the share look like its fading away .
We've had the Covid-19 hype already , that was last week or so .
Now its hold tight for some concrete results or a steer on the REMAP - or even a Clevegen update :-)

I've got a small amount of Cora too at 9p in late 2018.
Never sold as too small an amount to worry about - but nice for them to catch this gold boom at the right time too.
If Hum bursts upwards might move some there if they don't jump too

I am amazed this SP has stayed so low for so long .
Is it really down to Markets lack of confidence in Hum management , or the fact its a single mine in Africa ?
The main issues of wall instability through record wet season and bridge collapse weren't exactly management decisions.
The results have always seemed a tad underwhelming , ie the price they seem to get for gold , and the AISC remaining high for unexplained reasons .
Is the Market waiting for just one more set of solid results to show that the business is trusted enough to be worthy of a rerate back to true value.
At 26p - Dugbe surely isn't even priced in .
They've waited long enough until the circumstances were right for taking that project forward .
Finally I think we will see true value return to the SP

With patients at the severe end of Covid dying quite quickly it seems , the results are going to be quite binary one feels . They should get a good indication within at lot less time than the standard 28 or 90 days.
And yes you don't play at the life/death end of a trial on a whim . They wanted Traumakine on there for good reason.

Good stuff OIl , what with the COVID-19 emphasis on everything , what we forget is that this has just provided Faron with the perfect vehicle to run their Phase III caliber trial free of charge and in super compressed timeframe .
Given that the results won't surprise us , the worst case scenario is that we get approval as an ARDS drug therapy and we all become millionaires . I can't even get my head around the best case scenario lol

If Hum keep on producing at even their lowest estimate , they said they will be debt free by end of H1 2020 .
They based this on a gold price of $1350 , and with diesel at $.70/l and AISC of at worst $895.
Given that most people expect gold to at worst stay at $1700 region , even being cautious this would mean a 30-35% increase in revenue for HUM over 2020 , possibly more , am I right ?
Which would mean debt free by end H2 2020 , or at least the equivalent cash in the bank .
Surely 40p can't be that far off again .

This share really is like no other I've had . Only took a small position last week , but already looking at quite a pot ! I had finger poised to sell at £5 on Thurs but was just swept along with the madness and the $ signs in my eyes and then had to sit helpless as it slid to £3.70 unable to sell . Glad I didn't now as I get to experience it all again next week !

Yes Chris , this REMAP trial is funded by various countries , at no cost to Faron as far as we know.
I'm guessing the original plan was to start the FDA Caliber trial with 3rd party funding - and presumably a cut for that funder .
Now we have a ready made trial - much faster and will achieve same end result ( FDA & EMA both sitting around the table on this one )
So yes we may get to a marketing approval for our ARDS therapy without compromising ownership .

During the development of Traumakine in 2017 - this was in an RNS ( Sept 2017 )

Collaboration was initiated with INC Research/inVentiv Health - a global biopharmaceutical solutions organization with end-to-end clinical development and commercialization capabilities - to develop the pre-launch commercialization strategy for Traumakine.

They do have a couple of agreements with Japan and South Korea I believe , but the rest of the world is open .

That company INC Research is now called SYNIOS HEALTH - and is a massive company ( 23,000 staff) based in guess where..USA.
Theres no reason not to assume they were not still ready to work together.

Remdesivir does seem to have some nasty side effects - not sure if I'd want to take it unless I was desperate.
25% on trial had severe side effects , including organ dysfunction , septic shock ,acute kidney damage and liver damage .
i do recall that with Ebola , many had narcolepsy .

Traumakine is well proven on that side - minor side effects of fever is pretty much the worst.

I just can't see us not getting positive results on this trial . The REMAP team won't bin a drug on the first few fails , nor will they announce a winner on the first few successes . We will be seen to be effective as per all our previous trials with the given steroid criteria now adhered to .

Biggest concern is how they can manufacture to cope with demand , but thats the companys problem I guess .
It won't stop the SP going nuts .

We are all gagging for updates .
Remap Cap showing 141 Covid patients , but that must be a lot higher in reality .
Not sure if the US trial will feed into these statistics .
With these rapid multi centre trials ( ie 100s of sites rather than usual 10s ) and the likes of doctors etc having their own twitter accounts , I can see indications of how these trials are steering popping up all over the place before things get confirmed or denied in an official RNS .
Its going to be hard to gauge what is valid or not as people will all be trying to second guess things .

It might mean our SP jumps around , or maybe just sits there until the penny drops .

Another Interefon success in China/WHO trials may set us off early .

I agree with you that they are having to include the ones that politicians have been yapping about .

This Dr Angus chap ( who basically helped design REMAP) - when asked what he thought might work - said that he was most interested and keen on seeing how the Immune Modulation therapies worked ( Traumakine & Anakinra) in REMAP .

The media in the US will be picking up on this trial - they are all desperate for something that can be prescribed ( i.e Sold ) to the American public . Remember , over there , drugs are such big business .
I think a main reason why we managed to get onto REMAP ( other than its a scientific no brainer ) , is that the trial is not US funded , but a European/Canadian etc affair - so maybe big business couldn't stick their nose in first .

Science comes first - hence you get small firms with the right products getting put up there with the big guns .

Gentle ventilation always better for lungs anyway , and this article in my mind just boosts the cause of Traumakine in the fight against Covid 19 . Much better treatment than being hooked to an invasive ventilator - and being put unconscious .
Interferon Beta is a natural protein that the body produces anyway , but in sick folk and those will low immunity it is not to the degree that is needed . Faron have spent 10 years developing this therapy , and if it hadn't been for the discovery that corticosteroids interfered with its effectiveness , they would be saving alot of lives already .

The development of Traumakine should do away with the need for ventilators in an ideal world .

Lucky for some of us shareholders however , who got in after that moment in 2018 , who have had a chance to ride the rise to where we are . At that point they were £7-8 , and preparing to a big step up .
No Covid 19 about then , but still hundreds of thousands of ARDS sufferers .
No Clevegen development into phase I/II back then - a unique multi purpose immunotherapy drug
No AC03 Inhibitor back then - still a scribble on the back of a fag packet

Like NCYT - we both have come up from 50-60p and hit £5 in the last week or so .
The difference is we were doing that before COVI 19 hit the headlines - as we have had plenty going on in drug development.

NCYT have 68million shares . MCAP £255m currently £3.70
FARN have 43 million shares MCAP £175m ( only 26 mill in free float ) currently £4.00

Both are real valid companies in the now , and in the future .
Both will probably end up working , or already are, with Big Pharma to cope with demand .
Both are specialists in their fields with lots of experienced staff .
Sadly both were pretty unheard of or recognised for their efforts until a month or so ago .

I don't see any well researched investors dropping us like a stone - we haven't taken off yet , and we certainly aren't a one trick pony.

My understanding was that ventilators arent really good for your lungs full stop . its a last resort .
Most will have oxygen first ( like Boris )
Traumakine reduces the leakage of fluids onto the lungs - so its not an either or treatment , but I think we all agree that aggressive ventilation is not the best treatment . It can damage the lungs function - hence still the unmet medical need for a drug .
If ventilators cured ARDS - it wouldn't be an unmet medical need anymore ?

UPMC is running the REMAP CAP trial in its 40 hospitals throughout Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania has the 6th most cases out of the 50 odd states with 17,500 active cases and 338 deaths .
