I have a feeling that over the next few weeks we will be getting lots of people across these boards and the internet in general latching onto news stories about Interefrons and Covid 19 .

Cuba , China etc all starting to push their own theories and Govts feel they have to be seen to be doing something .
It's like the Klondike gold rush , everyone's racing to stake their claim .

So good time to check which Interferon people are actually talking about , and which ones actually involve or could involve Faron .

So this is my understanding - correct me if i'm wrong

We are IFN Beta 1a - delivered in an IV formula
We also have patent for the lyophilised pharmaceutical formulation of IFN Beta 1 a and its use

Cuba & China are promoting this drug - IFN Alpha 2b
Its an Interefron , but nothing to do with us , even if they decide to try and freeze dry it for mass distribution

SNG is trialing its drug - IFN Beta 1a - delivered in a nebulized formula
Same Interferon as us - but different patent and delivered in a spray .
I guess if they decide to freeze dry it - we would have an involvement as we hold the patent for the freeze drying of IFN Beta 1a.

Two other IFN Beta 1a drugs on the market - AVONEX & REBIF - are used to treat forms of MS .
But ( and I haven't read this up yet ) I guess they only have marketing authority for fighting MS . So no hold over any Lung or virus conditions legally .
If IFN Beta 1 a proves effective against COVID and ARDS - then its FARON that get the green light as we have the patent for using it for ARDS & Virus situations .
REBIF is actually being used in the REMAP ( from their protocol documents ) - probably as its readily available , and needed across the globe . This is obviously with Farons agreement .

If and when IFN Beta 1a ( IV delivered ) gets any green light for use for Covid or Lung failure - then it's FARONs day in the sun .

Rick - The WHO issued guidance about steroids for all hospitals.
Plus REMAP trial is fully aware of situation - so any hospital on trial will be aware .
Also they can use steroids , or treat patient who already has been treated with steroids , it just creates a new study domain to compare with those just treated with Traumankine .
hence Markku happy for steroids to be in there too , just to help proves him right again .

Been looking at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
This is who Faron are using to sort the Rentchler dispute .
2nd largest and one of the most important international Arbitration Courts in the world - so not any old court .
In Dec 2019 , Faron stated : the Company has carried out a detailed investigation into the circumstances around manufacturing arrangements and concluded that it considers the letter in which Rentschler Biopharma SE ("Rentschler") states that it terminates the agreement concerning the API manufacturing process for Traumakine® to be without merit and in breach of the underlying agreement between the parties. Faron also considers Rentschler to have otherwise breached the agreement.

So they had cause to carry out a detailed investigation as to why Rentschler would not manufacture their API drug in the future , and had reason enough to drag that company into court . Third parties would rarely take on a case of no win no fee unless they had been advised that they were likely to win - costs are enormous .

But it leaves the question - why would Rentschler NOT want to be the manufacturer of choice ?
Its like turning down an order for your factory ? Its what you do .
So whats behind that ?

So results are expected quickly, especially with a database of patients from countries worldwide also participating in the REMAP-COVID19 project, which still will follow guidelines for conducting human clinical trials.

100 patients .Its showing 201 now on REMAP page - but its been that for a day - then jumps .
And I'm not sure the US ones are even hardwired into the system yet

Does dividend mean what I think it does or is it some internal thing ?

Also , I noticed on the 2019 financial statement , that they planned to use their losses to offset tax on their profits from 2020-2028 . So again - not expecting to be making any more losses .

Is there any proof out there that this Knowles chap is actually involved though ?

Yes Drac all sorts of paid quacks out there spouting off about half baked trial results ( with no placebos or next to no data ) . Lots of money to be made - its a bit unsavoury when you can see through the charlatans .
Hold tight for REMAP . Its the biggest global trial of its kind , being run by specialists .
When they give a result , at least it should be credible .
