All patients ( other than those on 0.1mg ( 100th of max dosing) had immune activation observed
Dosing now to be run at 1mg - 10% of maximum dosage for part II
Matins Part II expanded to another 8 cohorts - so now 10 total .

Its shows that Clevegen is doing what they say - and that now its being run in studies for so many other cancers than the original two .

Possibility of partners on all these 10 studies - as each is targeting a different type of cancer

I feel next week could be a watershed moment for Faron .
Just released results from study on UK cases show that at the moment the fatality rate of those needing Intensive care is about 50% . I did a double take on that myself too - 50% ?
So Ventilators sound good , but half of those on one have died . Not so good then.
And the longer you are on a ventilator , the worse it is for your lungs - they don't like having air forced into them.

So any medicine that can effectively reduce fluid on the lungs is now about as high a priority as you can get.

Traumakine is a patent protected medicine - specifically targeting the CD73 molecule in the endothelial barrier .

Their trump card is that they discovered it , patent protected it , and gained orphan status for it in Europe.

Not sure of how it differs from others - perhaps in the way it is designed to target the CD73 molecule .
It is obviously unique to them - hence the patent and the huge investment

I can understand the governing bodies not wanting to rush into anything , but the FDA is going to come out of this with serious blame . They stalled on testing kit approvals ( NCYT for example ) for weeks - whilst the infections grew unchecked in the USA.
Everything is re-active - not pro-active .
We will get our approval in the end - shame more lives get lost in the wait .

Coincidence again that Markku is very confident about next steps with Traumakine in the Proactive interview 17th Feb , then we get WHO Covid 19 trial plan synopsis published 18th Feb , which tally with the CALIBER plan ( announced 2 weeks later )

Caliber is supposed to be a GLOBAL trial , yet only 200 odd patients expected .

Sounds like a fast track expected - they have to prove it in black and white , but I get the feeling they have been in conversation with important people for quite a while .

FDA and WHO don't have many tools in the toolbox to fight this viscous disease .

Just been reading the WHO Blueprint for Covid 19 Therapeutic trials ( published 18th Feb )

It basically lays out the way that Covid-19 trials will go - first a Pilot stage ( 50-100 patients) to help design final parameters for the Pivotal stage trial .

RNS from Faron 9th March - basically lays out the way they plan to trial Traumakine - first a Pilot stage ( 60 patients) to help design final parameters for the Pivotal stage trial .

So Faron are matching the WHOs Covid 19 trial format .

Uk orders 10,000 off Dyson , who haven't even started building them yet and don't even have the regulatory approval.
Govt says it will need 30,000.
New York alone say that , and they have 1/3rd population of whole UK

Trouble is a ventilator doesn't guarantee recovery , otherwise we wouldn't have had 22,000 deaths so far .

Morning all . Yes the only way life is going to half get back to normal is by doctors using a drug on the critically ill that will reduce death rates , getting the percentages down to maybe something less worrying , maybe like 02-0.5% death rate so that the public and Govt bodies can accept the risk and get daily life back to normal .
At the moment , the breakthrough ARDS treatment like ours is KEY to that .

Markku was on Finnish TV on Sunday being interviewed outside Faron .
No details - just saw a couple of screenshots.
Hopefully media will help push this on and get them the exposure they need .

The drug, which significantly helps to cure the coronavirus intensive care situation, has been developed by Faron Pharmaceuticals Oy, Finland. Traumakine was originally developed for severe acute respiratory distress syndrome.

There is still no marketing authorization for the medicine, but given the crisis situation caused by coronavirus, there is evidence that there is sufficient evidence of its efficacy and safety in relation to its benefits.

We require that Fimea, the Center for Pharmaceutical Safety and Development, authorize the use of the drug as soon as possible for those who wish to receive Traumakine for intensive care. The medicine is already manufactured and stored in Finland in sufficient quantities for treatment. This drug has the potential to save hundreds if not thousands of lives in Finland.

The address will be handed over to Fimea on Friday 27.3.2020.

Petition to Fimea now has 2,242 signatures - and will be handed over to them on Friday 27th March .

Finnish medical agency ( FIMEA) posted today on their website news about the new resolution recently adopted by the Council of Europe .
Lots of blurb , but it comes at a timely moment when all of Europe needs to come together to make a unified effort against Covid-19 .
Not explicitly linked to us - but the last paragraph caught my attention :

Attention should also be paid to the fact that pharmaceutical care is of international concern, as health care and medication are provided and utilised globally and have an impact within and across national boundaries. Collaboration between national authorities, professional bodies and intergovernmental organisations should therefore be strengthened to continue to develop and share harmonised standards and best practices for the safety and quality of the process of medication use.
