Well ,we've just had a monumental increase in the SP over the last week , with massive volumes across both platforms .
That was on the back of peoples excitement that Traumakine was a drug ready made for this situation .
Now we have a fast moving trial - so no big jump in SP with that ( apart from a few eager beavers who jumped aboard yesterday ) , as we now have to decide whether we believe in Farons science .
We can't grumble as weve had about £3 stuck on the SP in a couple of weeks
If the results from REMAP come back good , as us LTH expect , then the sky is the limit .
Theres a risk that they won't for whatever reason , but those who have followed the Traumakine story don't have much doubt .
We are on a plateau at the moment , a few us have dipped in and out over the last year during quiet times , me included , but I'm in with a comfortable amount now , and I won't be missing the mother of all RNS's for anything .
Get a few now Flock , like gold , in a years time it will seem cheap !

Green , I'm guessing as this trial started as a pneumonia trial , which apparently antibiotics are regularly prescribed.
Its now taken on a more Covid 19 /ARDS slant , hence the inclusion of these new drugs.

The guy on that radio podcast yesterday said that they originally had 50 sites , that is now over 100 and growing .
The US were not in on the trial - I'm sure they will want some of the drugs if they work ;-)

Back in January , REMAP were still working on pneumonia patients , as not many cases in Western world of Covid to test on.
Thats sure changed now.

I reckon this trial could be quicker and more comprehensive than the WHO one , which sounds to me like more of a cobbled together job to make it look like they are doing something.

So are Faron - like Markku said - they have been in this space a long time - they have a lot of people who know about ARDS .
It was only natural for them to become part of this operation .

Remember the FDA protocol was only expecting to have a couple of hundred candidates for the whole trial .

Finland hospitals were looking for Covid 19 postive subjects to give blood sample to help develop tests so him and his family went.

Thats great Leiwo , yes I had a similar feeling .
They have a lot going on , but are being pragmatic .

Its about faith in your science . He has it . Faron have it .
It isn't easy to get on a program like this - they aren't just plucking possible drugs out of a hat .

If it does what it says on the tin - even to 50% of what they hope - it will be big time .

You can see him almost emotional - finally he and his drug will be vindicated , and after all this slog - it will get the biggest launch he could imagine .

the secret weapon is a A0C3 protein inhibitor
It's primary use is to prevent vascular inflammation , such as that in renal and vascular disease, oxidative stress, acute and chronic hyperglycemia, and diabetes complications .
So basically another drug in the suppression line up - ie to stop something - in this case vascular inflammation .
Uses will be extensive no doubt , if it helps with Diabetic complications , and vascular disease - then it will be a block buster .

Faron have always looked to develop drugs for conditions with unmet medical needs.
Cos they know thats where the big bucks are .

I don't think so Octopus . The steroid news was in previous RNS , this is just the hard figures .

FDA will have seen these before and during their discussions back in December 2019 with Faron , agreed with them - hence new protocol for Global phase III Caliber trial .
And since then the WHO have issued advice against steroid use in ARDS , and now more pertinently in treatment of Covid -19 .

So we have proof that Traumakine will reduce mortality by a huge amount - so long as steroids are not in the mix .

Post hoc analysis showed that there was steroid interference , and they have proven that .

So now we are waiting for the new two part CALIBER trial , and funding from third parties for it , plus any other fast track emergency use details .
