3x datasets are soon going to jolt BoE into making some sharp rate cuts IMO:

1. Rising Unemployment - probably tipping above 5%

2. Increasing SME Insolvencies

3. Falling Oil, Gilts, and House Prices

Reasoning: BoE MPC have been forecasting stubborn inflation, and I think there's likely to be a sharp dip of inflation on the forward forecasts; mostly caused by the 3x above factors. BoE won't like to see undershooting inflation over mid and long term. So they'll be spurred into taking pre-emptive action and the small cuts won't be enough, forcing further cutting to follow. I reckon BoE rates will drop fairly rapidly to 1.75-2.25% over next 18months.

Political tightening of Visa rules will slam the breaks on growth - rate cuts will be the only way to support consumer spending as house prices may drop by up to 7.5-22.5% in real terms (not headline cash terms).

EZJ will see ticket price softening or flatlining for the foreseeable IMO. Recently Airliner ticket prices have pushed up on the inflation figs and I think that's coming to an abrupt end.

SSPG are doing fabulously - Revenues growing significantly, striking many quality business strategic partnerships, and 'the art of good business is after all about being a good middle-person'! Buybacks to look forward to on the horizon this autumn. Sure, there's challenges in Europe & USA with market turbulence. Though Asia is powering ahead and SSPG have done very well to invest heavily there.

I really like SSPG's broad global presence - if one market is a little down, the others are up. A far better investment IMV than if I were to alternatively put my cash into solely Europe focused airliners.

Xhita - this 2025 year EZJ are flying similar passenger numbers, although using a greater number of planes to do so - than they were in 2019...

Plus their costs are higher and whilst ticket prices have been robust thus far the forward look is downwards for ticket prices (cheaper oil, lower $ and passengers cutting back)...

Fundamentally, that's why this stock is dropping - because sure, the summer25 may have been healthy. However stocks are priced on forward direction, and that's just not looking so healthy atm. This current drop of the SP was predictable IMV, and I think it'll get worse & head sub £4 (a view I've held for a long while).

Content seeing this drop (doing as I thought it would) - At the right level I might buy in. Quite a way to drop yet though.

I am watching atm Horsey one... Potentially the rise today is down to smaller shorters closing out, possibly?

Appears as though those with declared large shorts have not meaningfully closed (yet)... Lots more global turbulence on the way, and although I plan on holding through it all it's possible we see the SP touch low 140's? - If existing shorts hold their positions open, and if new shorters jump in to get a piece of the action?

I've no doubt longer term this stock is going to perform fabulously - Though these macroeconomic woes are certainly putting even solid businesses like SSPG under pressure (share price wise).

Bruising day for Ocado -😬 - quite surprised to see possible retreat on robot fulfilment centre's. Will there be a similar pullback in the AI world? CPI treading water today, having risen on the wider market optimism in recent days. Will that continue as the month goes on though?

Absolutely, they're definitely helping to combat and smooth out the market turbulence. I think without them this recent drop would have been larger magnitude. I'm content to carry on accumulating even if there are further drops (I think there will be over this turbulent autumn). Overall I'm expecting the rises to outweigh the falls.

No doubt Aim has been caught out a couple of times trading CPI (and has had to play the waiting game) but... from what they've posted I think they've made good money from trading CPI and their calls on the closing SP have been rather close on many occasions too.
