RE: Market guidance achieved for Revenue!25 Jul 2024 08:29
Unionbasher - revenues/profits have been down for many businesses in Q1 this year. As inflation on raw inputs like materials + energy continued being very high, prices for those only reduced significantly from July onwards. Throughout Apr-Jun some customers will have used their spare money to pay down those accumulated winter energy bill debts and the other small debts built up like cc cards... so I think a slight revenue + profits drop is for Q1 is not unexpected at all. We know inflation significantly dropped from July, there's also the accumulated effect of the NI cut as each month passes too. So sales, revenues and profits should all start rising for BT in Q2+Q3, peak capex has now passed so the gradual capex slow down going forwards also helps.
For me these results are a green 🟢 light to continue accumulating more BT stock!
