I agree Aim... BoE likely to hold as they're stuck between the elevated inflation resulting from the legacy of Brexit and the screams coming from businesses having to cut and sell off their component parts to stay afloat under the weight of debts and low economic growth.

Over in EU yes it's true business & homes have struggled with elevated inflation but that's now falling, and more quickly than it has here in UK, so the ECB can support the economy via their series of consecutive rate cuts i.e. things will pick up quicker within the EU because they began lowering rates first and they have made more cuts too.

Carrington - the massive difference though is ECB began cutting rates earlier and they have made several supportive cuts meaning soon the EU economies will begin feeling the benefits from those cuts with further ones still in progress so the supportive effects will endure. Conversely UK has barely begun and so IMO there is lots more pain for UK to land yet due to the inaction of the BoE - by time BoE starts the proper cutting the economy will already be in big trouble and cuts will need to be steep.

Open borders, £700 million wasted on deporting no one with that failed Rwanda scheme, and then there's Truss who's budget was anything but a 'mini budget'! Dodgy contracts to their mates, crumbling schools, hospitals and transport network... You had to glance at the state of the roads to know the Tory neglect ran deep.

Labour forced into difficult decisions because the Tories wasted billions... HS2, what a joke! Only the Tories could spend nearly £100bn on a train from Birmingham that doesn't even make it into central London!

Trisor whinging about Labour when it's your beloved Tories who ensured the country got into this deep mess in the first place! Labour can help UK recover but it's going to be a long road ahead.

There's so many other superb stocks on the FTSE indices out there... and then there's this dog of a share CPI! Roll on results when the sheer scale of the horrors will not be able to be hidden for any longer. Capita One sale will have propped this stock up for the time being but there are savage days ahead and this business could become a fatality of the BoE's bitter war against the post brexit embedded & elevated services inflation.

76.2p please as there's already been plenty of buying activity in low 70p's so this should rice nicely with ease.

AimMaster2018 - oh absolutely, It's a savage drop which btw I had entirely forecast months ago from the data and yet others on here claimed I was some kind of paid to post deramper... Look I just crunched the numbers on their available data from their prior results and guidance comments together with what I knew about the wider macros from the ONS/BoE data to derive the estimate... I'm just a working class PI here and even I could see this stock was in serious trouble.

Just the wait now to see if this is the figure they publish or if it might even possibly be even worse - The Capita One sale does help them here but... I think the downturn has been even worse than I had imagined a few months back so I'm reckoning it'll be in the £2.3-£2.4bn and £2.44bn will end up being a little too high.

"Shore Capital analysts have predicted it will deliver revenues of £2.44 billion for 2024, down from £2.81 billion a year earlier."...

The £2.4bn figure is almost bang on where I reckoned the top side of CPI's revenues would land for these results - pleasing to read that article agreeing with what I had said on here many moons ago!

Interesting Aim how you've now seemingly accepted that what I have been saying is indeed how things are playing out. Decent article IMO and lays bare the cold hard challenges which CPI is facing. Sadly some look set to lose a lot of dough on this stock because any recovery (if even possible) is going to be a very long journey indeed.

JG68 "Labour are totally destroying sentiment in this country"... Um not True they've just been frank with people about the sheer level of the rot which had set in under the Tory neglect. Completely right of them to have been honest about that. CPI has fallen along with many other UK stocks on the watch of the Tories... Labour cannot fix that decay overnight and no one with any sense expects them to do so either!

Delusions of grandeur you appear to have. CPI is a rotting cesspit of decay! nearly 10yrs of YoY revenue & profits declines now. Have the revenue of the glory days and since those days cumulative inflation has added 25% or so meaning for CPI to have stayed the same size then it would have had to be booking £7.5bn+ revenues today... Yet it's only just struggling to hold onto the low £2bn annual of revenue... Results will soon reveal if it even managed to stay above £2bn....

Utter madness to claim this stock is undervalued.

Mobile network companies in the UK could see their costs reduced by about GBP40 million a year after Ofcom proposed cutting some of the annual fees it charges them.

The regulator currently makes companies such as BT Group PLC and Vodafone Group PLC pay annual licence fees to use certain radio frequencies, known as spectrum bands.

The fees come to about GBP320 million per year and are paid to the Treasury.

Ofcom said on Friday that it could reduce the fees by about 21% for the 900 megahertz and 1800 MHz spectrums.

Meanwhile, for the 2100 MHz spectrum it could cut the annual fees by 12%.

The reductions would see mobile phone operators pay about GBP40 million less, with cost reductions for each operator...

Gotnorolex - CPI will no doubt be cutting jobs whatever the outcome of the Revenue figs? Mind you, the revenue figs (capita One sale aside) will absolutely be dire here for CPI

Well... I did warn you ole Trenners of precisely this eventuality that the mess the Tories have left behind for Labour to clean up and the high BoE interest rates would be weighing heavily on business demand at exactly the wrong time period for CPI... I literally said that revenues and sales for CPI were falling just as there's little to no underlying macroeconomic support but you chose to scoff, mock and dismiss everything I was saying and all of the evidence which I was sharing on here too!

Carrington - Appreciate the recognition there, not easy if invested at higher SP's either mind... I've been calling the UK underperformance on Macroeconomics for some time and the data each month is firming up my view more strongly with each data release (ONS this morning)... UK House Price Index coming up soon and it's my strong opinion media and agents have been significantly over ramping the UK housing sector when the headline of rising average prices is actually really misleading (because it suggests average means broad based price rises when in fact it's just that a greater proportion numerically selling are new builds with higher price tags... overall volumes are massively down and preowned in bad condition are accumulating totally unsold).

If BoE inflicts yet another rate hold for Dec then there will be more pain to come yet on the GDP front and more of those indebted going to the wall.

Pondering how much this has to dip before another buying round commences to squeeze out those shorters which still have some open positions? 🤔
