Kiwitwo - I sold all my BT holdings weeks ago correct and I have not bought back in because I think BT will drop sub 130p

Hadn't even realised just how far EE have fallen since the BT takeover. I'm currently an EE customer but... contemplating making the move to VOD as I'm out of contract now.

Acknowledge that's highly probable they're doing precisely that... except it'll leave BT with only the most compliant 'Yes Sir/Madam' and desperate people within their employ. i.e. Everyone with a decent brain and highly employable will depart.

Sure, if BT wants to smash up staff morale, drive up commuting costs, and drive down productivity then by all means they can crack right on but... whilst they engage in such a silly nonsensical policy I shall not be investing because it will only serve to drive their costs ever upwards!

PRK1 - Well having been one of the "many dopes punting on BT" myself (I made good money on BT tbf) I can share that I sold off all my BT because I see far greater prospects over here with VOD...

I think it'll take some time before everyone digests the gravity of this merger... BT has dominated since time began and for the first time in the modern era this merger creates an entirely new business which will dominate the market. It's a HUGE deal!

Gmed-2 - Hedge funds behave little different to PI's - both read the info out there to pick a stock and hoover it up at what they hope will later turn out to be a very attractive price. It's just hedge funds have more data at their fingertips to hone their decision making really!

Agree with you there Carrington - albeit I don't agree with you on your sentiments on JDW, which I think is set to be stuck in a rut trading between 570p-650p.

It's risen from 66p on 12th Nov right up to 72.5 today. A decent lift really, with plenty more on the way!

PRK1 - I disagree, the large pension funds and big investment & hedge funds out there will soon see there's significant upside potential for VOD, and once they pile in it'll rise nicely.

Office days are over... ANY business attempting to resume office working for more than 2 days a week is doomed to lose the productivity battle. The losses will be staggering for any firm which tries.

Those embracing home working will reap the full bounty of doing so 💰

Seems the shorters tried to cling on with their open positions possibly hoping LTH's would sell to reduce losses and new entrants would make a swift exit on a a small profit margin...

Hold for Gold here IMO, £2.20 will easily be achieved and beyond. I see this stock reaching £2.70 within 12 months!

Just bought up another tranche as this stock hit the low 72p - I think we'll be hitting the 80p's within a couple of weeks IMO 👍

It's the lacklustre sales which are killing BT... all that investment in Capex and they should be in the position to be capitalising with massive sales volumes. Except they're not at all, sales volumes and £ are wayyy short.

The lever the board will reach for now is to embark upon rounds of mass layoffs.

As for their nonsensical ambitions to get everyone back into the office... well that's going to waste monstrous sums of cash and will only damage productivity + workforce morale.

Czql5v - I was transparent when I first invested here in saying I saw potential for the BT SP to easily hit the £1.65p mark but... I changed my view on the ecpnomic Macros and the BT results which fell significantly short of expectations. Look some will scoff at the views I've shared but what I saw was evidence building up against this stock and I've seen nothing indicating there's support for positive direction. Yes, BT has swapped places between Drahi and a replacement billionaire to exactly trade places, yes, Slim also invested in a big way but aside from that little has changed in a positive way for BT IMO and much is getting ever worse...

Roll on the bid? Time to fire some engineers to begin the cost cutting? 🤷

The drop is imminent and the gap is there underneath 130p and so that's where I'm confident it'll drop to within a matter of weeks... maybe slim will sell up? 🤷

Only downside for VOD appears to be its debt volumes but...

Businesses unwilling to take on any risks with borrowing to invest tend to be very slow growth companies. Those peddling Debt purist ideology have no idea what they're talking about because the economy runs on debts being taken out, to drive growth!

I think we're seeing this stock stuck in the 170's because previously there's been very little buying action in this price range (170-180p) so there's likely some large gaps to fill here, before this stock can move on up. We could be here for a little while but eventually the direction is clearly upwards and a significant rise at that too because lots has been purchased in the 180p-220p range already. All IMO and DYOR.

With the Vodafone + 3 Merger now approved by CMA it seems BT is going to have some proper competition at long last.

Lots of things are lining up together against the BT SP... The Court case, this merger, the slow sales, the reduced market share too. BT should bound to be headed sub 130p imminently IMO.

Robleo - I think we'll be seeing 82-87p by New Year here IMO - As traders then look towards Spring/Summer it will likely just keep on rising until it hits the low £1.20p's

Sub 600p still inevitable here IMO.

Has been a struggling stock since the budget and I don't see there being improvement for the foreseeable. 570-590p it'll drop to I reckon.
