These things take a good time to arrange, of course, so I'm not fussed about the time it's taking for either of them. I recall SQZ's sp steadily drifting while news of their 'big deal' was awaited and both shs now seem to be in this 'limbo' period.

That'll persist, I suspect, until we have an RNS on the matter from either of them! - sasa.

The notion you've suggested, upomega, has been mooted before, of course, given the many similarities between them / the prospective benefits etc., but their differing management styles might well preclude any prospective amalgamation, i.e who would run the combo?

Both managements are pro-active but Serica's team is more seasoned and conservative than RRE's approach to things, from what I've gathered - hence the likely problem. I like the prospects for both companies with each working on their next 'transformational' acquisition right now to propel them to the next level; which will announce their next major deal first, I wonder?

Depending on the terms of their transaction when announced / the potential benefits envisaged etc., for either company, I'd expect their respective sp to re-rate significantly from today's level, so I'm in both at this stage, accordingly - sasa.

Hi Fallingknife - I, too, took a loss on this when I sold after the disappointing RNS a week ago and take no comfort from seeing the further price decline since, which merely accentuates the attrition of capital for others still holding...

Whilst I've been following / invested in this Co. for a long time, it remains largely a 'one trick pony', albeit one with considerable potential, as far as I can make out. That's their 'Achilles Heel', though, when their primary mkt declines rapidly like they've just confirmed and now the Accounting re -statement requirements 'muddy the waters' even more, it's become too risky to hold, imv, until we see the figures next month.

Have the stock on my 'watch list', pending that RNS, to gauge the recovery potential, relative to the then sp but won't get involved again until we know 'what's what' - just my take, fwiw - sasa.

Echo that overview at present, JA - I guess that RRE is the nearest equivalent to us at present but I prefer Serica's more seasoned / conservative management style. The next big deal is probably identified now with negotiations already underway. Once this is confirmed and integration commences, I'd expect the sp to re - rate sharply like it did before on the BKR news with the dividend update and plans for elevation to the main mkt thereafter adding further impetus.

Ergo, patience is all that's required now, with an upcoming 60% share of the BKR revenues only six weeks away which merely re-enforces the appeal here, while we do so - sasa.

Agreed, Retired B - I've just added to my holding on the back of today's news, too - sasa.

Fair do's, Fallingknife - it looks a bit oversold right now, I grant you but the divd cover is already wafer thin (only 1.2 x covered) and with the sizeable drop in orders forecast and, more importantly, the Accounting re-statement, which is often underestimated beforehand, the divd could be severely reduced or eliminated altogether - not good in these challenging times if it happens.

today's RNS is - a dramatic fall off in Chinese demand and also accounting difficulties just to exacerbate the problems - too much for me to run on with 'walking wounded' in these problematic mkts, so I'm 'outa here' on the premise that 'the first cut is often the cheapest' - sasa.

Can't disagree with any of your general commentary on things, dick, while we await the next deal update - except the 5p divd cost you mention; I calculate the cost to be just under £13.5m on the present float; 'small beer' given the burgeoning cash accumulation - sasa.

As stated by TDT earlier - $26bn on reported resources (1.55m tons Ni equiv.) but add on the yet to be confirmed 2018 drilling results, (2m tons Ni equiv. is quite likely) and the 'in ground' value could well range between $30bn - $35bn, as they were reckoned to be another very good outcome.

The LTH's know this already, of course - don't ask me about the boost to the NPV, ps - they know that too from my earlier 'short cut' calcs and it's always best to DYOR on this , anyway - sasa.

Hi Geela - really nice to hear from you and hope you and the family are all well and thriving in the US of A. Yep, still here and posting occasionally where I can add something, although there's been little to comment upon until very recently, tbh.

I view TB's recent involvement with us as being potentially very significant, along with yesterday's news of the mysterious mining investment fund now buying in adding to that, too; their cheap entry level was quite surprising, one has to say but the reason for that might become clearer later on and in the meantime, we needed the money for now, so that's the important thing.

Had we been reliant on bank debt or bond holders, we probably wouldn't around today!

With Amur T's latest posting, perhaps things really are on the cusp of changing AMC's potential which is long overdue - as to value, all I can guess at is many x this paltry sp level, given that what we have in today's circumstances have radically moved in our favour in recent times.

My patience has been sorely tested, too, especially of late vis a vis the delayed PFS, the 2018 drilling results being withheld, etc., and the very poor treatment of us long suffering shareholders generally but hope that things might yet come good following these latest developments - sasa.
