Need to trawl through the statement again - although the eps outcome was lower than I'd expected (incidental, really) the conservative approach runs through their report which, given the current uncertainties, is clearly reassuring for all the shareholders.
In the circumstances, it was commendable of the BoD to 'honour' their earlier expectations to pay the maiden divd, instead of deferring it as many Cos have done recently and the 'half way' house of announcing 3p ps now, must surely be appreciated by all holders. Being 8 x covered by the eps just reported exemplifies the conservative approach once more and leaves ample room for maintaining distributions henceforth which they also indicated previously so, again, 'hats off' to our management on this score, as well.
Hopefully, the BoD will continue to successfully steer Serica through the present virus driven anxieties, whilst the appointment to the board of an experienced M&A NED bodes well for the acquisition possibilities (both offensive and defensive) - another plus, certainly...
Ergo, selling on a current p/e of 4 x and now yielding some 3% , the shs remain significantly under valued, amongst its peers and deserve to be accorded a decent premium to them, imv, as suggested previously. Meanwhile, much to look forward to... sasa.
