Just to clarify my earlier advice to Grim- lottery tickets are in a good cause and would be a less expensive way for you to lose money than shorting.

If that phrase has any meaning at all, it means that you partly closed a short position at 20p but still have an open short position at 54p. What bad luck. Lottery tickets at the corner shop could be a better bet.

It's in the nature of share chat sites that there will always be people on them who have their own agenda, and who can't be bothered to read company updates/ industry news/ broker research notes, or do any research themselves. I ignore them most of the time, but occasionally find myself rising to the bait. For example, my observation that the person who thinks oil field development in the Falklands isn't being covered by the press clearly only reads provincial local newspapers. On balance I think blatant lies do need to be corrected as there are newcomers coming to this site ahead of FID.

Anyway, rant over, thank goodness there are diligent and informed posters on this site. Thank you all.

Unfortunately the Grimsby Post probably doesn't cover oil field development on the other side of the world....try reading some quality national newspapers !

P.s a further piece of advice for Grim, if I may, from an old stock market hand - in my experience no professional short seller would short sell a volatile small cap. stock like RKH ( small cap. for now anyway, but that could very likely change). Such a stock could potentially gap up in the blink of an eye on receipt of news the nature and timing of which you can't predict. In those circs you would likely find yourself scrabbling for stock to cover your short position, while competing with all kinds of buyers including institutional ones. Your potential losses would be technically unlimited as stocks can rise indefinitely . Hence the Wall St. saying that short sellers risk being taken out feet first.

Grimuphere- if you really believe it is not going to happen then you have the short of the year in your grasp- why not go ahead and borrow every share you can, and let us know the price you receive for them. But bear in mind that you will have to buy the shares back in order to close the short position.

SachBarnes- Its worth remembering the wise words of Warren Buffet- focus on long term performance rather than daily fluctuations. Don't obsess over short term movements !

After years and years of watching the SP depressingly zig-zag downwards following major discoveries, then years and years of watching it move sideways, we are very likely now at the start of years and years of watching it zig-zag upwards. In other words, its a text-book classic successful exploration stock. Keep calm and carry on ( please forgive the cliche).

Posters often speculate whether a trade is a buy or a sell. But every single trade involves both a buyer and a seller- otherwise there's no trade. I remember being told that the first day I started work as a stockbroker ( more years ago than I care to say).

Another quick point - the RKH chart is an absolute classic exploration stock chart. A long decline after discovery - a process that can take many years, and has certainly done so in this case - is followed by a rapid upturn when production finally looks to be on the cards. The longer the period of decline, the more the weak sellers have been ground down and shaken out. That means that the upturn can be surprisingly strong and go much further than some people may be predicting. It wouldn't surprise me much if this stock gets to £1 before FID. The upside potential beyond that is very large ,taking a longer view. GLA.

Thank you JEBR for posting the best post I have read on this stock on this board for a very long time. Your medium scenario of £3.23 /sh looks feasible, and your best case scenario of £6.07 /sh also looks quite possible, on the reasonable and detailed assumptions you have made. And that is just for Phase 1. And I agree with you that FID might take place quite a bit sooner than some of the sceptics are assuming. Good luck to all.
