RE: Nothing to justify our sub NAV/share sp16 Feb 2023 12:38
A big part of the issue is being a tech company listed in London. Tech is not popular in the least with fund managers. They believe everything is doomed to fail.
I believe US investors are looking more to Europe now. I think sooner or later they will come across MV and take an interest. Especially as companies doing well can't be accessed on public markets.
Obviously need to get the satellite up. Will be relying on SpaceX but looks like healthy interest for their early access programme.
Along with Iceye and Isar Aerospace they should benefit from the VC trend towards dual use tech that has defence capabilities along with civilian uses.
RE: Was good news on evonetx in any case7 Feb 2023 14:09
Very interesting. Started looking at Twist Bio and a recent short seller report trashed their stock claiming it's a Theranos type fraud.
The report highlights Evonetix as one of 3-4 up and coming companies with better tech that are likely to pose an existential threat to Twist Bio's market.
Feel more optimistic about these 2 in the last few weeks.
Revolut have not had a firing round unlike many and also say they have plans to hire about 1700 staff over the next couple of years.
Graphcore could be a beneficiary if the Government get round to developing a semiconductor strategy. I doubt whether they have much in the way of long term ideas so the hope is they throw a few quid at the likes of Graphcore.
If they can't get Arm to list in London they might turn to GC. Also might benefit from the rising Chat GPT tide. They are working with Aleph Alpha on an Open AI alternative.
It would be great to see us invest in AA as they are an Earlybird company
This has been one of my favourites from the portfolio. Company looking to commercialise their tech for providing researchers with synthetic DNA on a chip.
Despite the very difficult biotech market they have just raised $24bn in a round where Molten were able to hand over the lead investor role to Foresite Capital.

This company which collapsed a few months ago was much worse. They were spending all the cash on wild staff parties and there is a class action lawsuit in the US to recover customers money.
