The 5% negotiations are like a game of poker. Both players think they have the winning hand or are bluffing. Time to call the play. If you are confident of your hand Shaun, then call it and bring in the arbiter to decide.

We would all like a negotiated settlement for the 5% fair market valuation, to keep relations between GGP and Newcrest amicable.

These negotiations have been going on since December and I think it is now time for Shaun to take the lead.

The group of experts he has gathered around him, have completed a study which increased the JORC standard resource and with their experience, they must be confident that their figures will stand up to scrutiny. Newcrest on the other hand are looking to get the 5% as cheap as possible.

Now is the time to put our study to the test and we should request arbitration now. Mr Biswas can either accept our detailed assessment or take a chance on his figures being accepted. He has nothing to lose apart from his reputation and ego. If the arbiter comes down in our favour, he can always decline to take up the 5% offer and allow us to continue with our 30%. I’m not sure how that would go Down with Newcrests board and key investors.

We do need this uncertainty to end.

Encouraging Rns and we eagerly await the results of last years drilling. The fact they want to drill deeper at hole 7, suggests that mineralisation is believed to be there up to the end of hole. We shall see.

I apologise for going on about GGP, but this is a share I have and which I have built up a limited amount of knowledge on. Their Havieron project next door, is under400 meters of cover but then has mineralisation going very deep and is still open at depth !!!!

If Hole 7 was drilled 700 meters and has a similar cover of 400 meters of rock, then will we see some very encouraging figures?

I am dreaming and hoping of course and it is still a gamble.

Further excellent results from Greatland Gold (GGP) overnight.

We are awaiting drilling results on our area, which is only a few kilometres from Havieron and possibly sits on the same gold bearing system.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that our drills will have hit some mineralisation, but caution that at this time it is still a gamble and should invest only if you are prepared to lose it all.

To be fair Brucejack has some amazing figures and not too deep either.

Some strange trades recently. I can’t fathom whether some are buys or sells. Let’s hope news comes soon to give direction.

Difficult to say with labs experiencing delays in providing results.

As a very rough guide, GGP completed drilling at Scallywag in December and published a results Rns on the 5th April. Can’t remember when Artemis submitted their cores, but they can’t be too far behind.

I will be keeping an eye on the ASX announcements tonight, just in case lol!

Many holders of Greatland Gold (GGP) shares take an interest in ARV and after GGP gave some encouraging results for their Scallywag property, I felt that it was time to look again at ARV, before their drilling results came out. Accordingly, I have picked up 2x 200k worth of shares in the past week.

As you rightly say it is a gamble and I do not want to encourage people to speculate with money they can ill afford to lose.

Not disputing what you say, but would they release such news before the long Easter trading break? Wouldn’t it be better for next Tuesday?

From selling shares earlier this year, I found I could add a further 17,000 pounds back into my ISA, for this tax year. What I had forgotten was the selling is normally done on a plus two days settlement which would take me into the new tax year.
The broker is trying to get it settled on a plus one day, so if you see two figures somewhere around 130,000 to 140,000 shares you will know it isn’t a sell.

I believe it is the 6th April.

I have never had any problem with a bed and Isa. There is a transaction charge for the buy and sell and a fee paid to do the bed and isa. Normally it is less than £50.00 in total. The buy and sell are done within minutes of each other and the spread is very small. If you don’t want to lose any shares being transferred you tell the broker and there is a slight difference in what you pay, but normally only a pound or two depending on the size of shares being transferred.
I use Charles Stanley direct and they have been very good.
There is an anomaly, in that the cash you get from selling is used to buy back the shares, but because there is a two day settlement date for the sell, the accounts show a positive and negative cash balance on your trading account and your isa account. It is only an accounting feature though and doesn’t affect your accounts which will sort themselves out after a few days. I should add you can still trade on your account during this period.

We have another reason to keep hold of our shares (IHT) and out comes another one to try to talk it down lol.

I’m with you there Ham. Another 20k’s worth of transfer to my isa. Will only have a few thousand shares left in the trading account. ;0)
