Oz, I don’t think they put the dates of the interims in the key dates section. They put them in the results section, once published, I believe.

There are 90 days between the quarterlies, so in theory they could print them next week. However last years results came out on the corresponding week to this. So are they playing games?

If Newcrest are hoping to buy the 5% of Havieron, now, then shouldn’t they calculate the price based on the gold price now?

The way it’s going, it will be cheaper to rent somewhere warm for a few months in the winter, than trying to keep the house warm enough to live in. Lol.

We have been on a fixed price tariff for the past two years, so probably we have been paying less than someone on the normal tariff. We were paying approx £90 a month for both fuels. Our fixed rate comes to an end in March and we have received a letter saying we can go on the normal tarifff paying approx £2000 a year or a fixed tariff for £2400 a year.

With prices rising 50% in April and a rise of similar proportions in October, I am minded to go for the fixed rate. Not fully made up my mind and have to look around to see if any better deals out there, but I can’t afford to leave it too long otherwise those fixed rates will be even higher.

I said last week that even if Putin was to stop all the fighting and withdraw from Ukraine, the West will not suddenly undo sanctions. They are going to be here for some time as the West can’t be seen to be rewarding someone who has destroyed so much and killed so many.

I think you do a lot of posters a mis-service here, by thinking they are not aware of the situation as it stands. There are many knowledgeable posters and like you, put in a lot of information for people like myself.
However as I said, if you put the worst case scenario forward as your position you will get an offer commensurate with that stance. Ou don’t go into negotiations saying I expect 100 million for the 5% but would like 500 million. Especially when you have the same drilling figures as the other side and yours have been verified and calculated.
I respect the reasons of why you do what you do, but it can have a terrible effect on the morale of shareholders in the company.
I will leave it there for now. I need to get back out into the garden while we have blue skies and warm sunshine ( well looks warm).

All your figures are always on the low side.
I know you have said that you don’t want people to be disappointed, but if Newcrest think our expectations are low, then so will the offer.

I am sure there are many exploration companies looking in at this situation and thinking “ Do we want Newcrest as our j/vpartner, when they treat companies like this?”

Biswas, who has recently apologised for his perceived bullying, is not doing Newcrests reputation any good at all.

Johnpwh, GGP don’t have the right to refuse,but Newcrest have the right to walk away, if the arbiter agrees with a higher value.
