The 5% FMV of Havieron was timetabled for mid February with people thinking it would tie in with the Newcrest half yearly results next Thursday.

If that is so, then the MRE2 figures must be known, as that will be part of the discussions for the valuation.

I don’t know about ASX rules, but shouldn’t the companies be informing the markets of the MRE2 figures as they could be price sensitive?

US inflation figures out at 1.30pm tomorrow. Will it go up again?

Are performance rights and options the same? I don’t believe they are.

I think the performance rights are given to the employee rather than having an option p4ic3 to buy. However they only earn them on achieving certain milestones.

Shaun’s could be earned as a result of obtaining a deal for the 5% or on achieving a successful placing of shares or could be other targets we are not yet aware of.

I do think it is important that the ‘awards committee’ should publish the targets or criteria for earning these rewards, so that some shareholders don’t react as they have done today. ( apologies if they were published in the annual report).

A good point Paddy, but would any royalty company have the cash to buy the 25%?

I think Newcrest will want to get this sorted asap. Whilst people here are concentrating on the price, Newcrest will be looking at what that extra 5% will give them. In effect total control.
It will be interesting to see what they offer for the 5%, as this will be an indicator of how they will work with GGP.
A low ball offer and I suspect they will be pushing for 100% ownership. If so they could put pressure on us in different ways to get us to sell. People have also said we can sell to someone else. Well I am not sure any of the big boys will be buying with Newcrest having all the day after holding 75%.

We just have to hope that Newcrest play fair. I know some have said about reputation being damaged, but I don’t believe that. Look at what is happening now. Pressure on the sp by someone. Could it be Newcrest?

It doesn’t matter whether one agrees with Hydro or not.

The fact some people got it removed has only reinforced the message and made a lot more determined to hold onto their shares.

Less than two weeks left before Newcrests half year report. It would be great to see continued. Buying into this period.

Drilling was expected to be completed towards the end of 2021 and assays are awaited.

Shaun and the team may be holding an ace card there, but at the moment they are busy with the 5% FMV assessment.

Would six have been bought out for a pittance, if they had a j/v partner similar to the calibre of Newcrest?

Most of the sells are relatively small, suggesting the 10% traders are taking their profit. Hopefully will move up shortly.

I have just under 2.6 million shares, the majority have been held sine the Newmont era, with some small additions over the past 6 months or so.

Mat. I would like to think you will be right about how much we get for the 5%. If not we will need the loan facility.

If we look at using shares for cash, then obviously the lower the sp, the greater number of shares required to be issued. Keeping the sp low, could persuade the board to take out the finance. (.which is their preferred option in any case). As I say just thinking aloud. Have a good weekend.

Just thinking to myself and wondering if JPM are one of the bankers offering Greatland the bank finance, that Shaun Day was talking about.

Shorting the share to keep the price down and the need for finance increases, rather than having the option of selling more shares in the market.
