Happy, I wouldn’t go as far as you’re suggesting though. You seem to think the EU has some belligerent agenda? No doubt some in their corridors of power can see Ukraine’s mineral wealth would be a great asset to EU, I don’t think the slow, bureaucratic behemoth that it is slowing down anything in favour of war.

Makes sense to me that Putin wants those eastern Ukraine assets though.

Not2sure - my concern too: no date for ratification.

I don’t understand the Ghanaian parliamentary process: but surely the ratification must be tabled as, say, a motion before parliament - and then it is scheduled for debate, with appropriate notice.

But who knows?

And literally, who knows?

I put it down to a typo or a language/translation thing.

From what I can gather, the Ghanian parliament usually sits between May to July at this time of the year - I have no idea of the usual dates in these months) - but this year they actually convened on the 11th June.

Does this mean this sitting will last until sometime in August or still July? (late July?). 4/5/6 weeks left of this sitting.

The next sitting is usually Oct-Dec though they have their election in December, so perhaps it will be cut short?

Yes, the chairman and board are paid handsomely to get the show on the road. They have been doing an excellent job.

But they are not the politicians - who have their own agendas. We must just wait for the process to complete.

The share price reflects the uncertainty… is it reducing as a negative view increases as time wears on? Or perhaps just with no news (no news seems to be bad news on the markets!)

Not saying anything new here. We all want this to succeed, - we all think it’s a good thing (I always wonder about being too good to be true… but that’s my pessimistic nature!). It’s our money on the table and who likes uncertainty … though that can provides opportunity.

I need to stop thinking about it :-/

My concern is ratification - if not in this currently parliamentary session (ends end of July?) then the next session isn’t until December but they have a general election at the beginning of that month.

All ducks lined up… just need that rat.

So it’s okay to hear the positive views all the time - but god forbid that someone says something that counters that.

I bet there’s as many posts saying how wonderful it will be versus those that call out the crap.

And blocking someone with reasonable views is just childish. Head in the sand isn’t a great strategy. It’s like ‘cancel culture’.

Colin, if one isn’t invested in EMH then the question of when it will be operational is a good question.

If one is invested then it’s also a good question.

Either way, you’d want to know the timescale for a return on investment… unless the strategy is to blindly invested or be blinded by “the biggest lithium resource in Europe” quip. As someone said some time ago on here, it may be the biggest in Europe but that applies whether it’s left in the ground or not. If it’s going to take several years for it to appear above ground then there may other opportunities for one’s cash.
