Andy, the whole respiration team at Belfast hospital each asked everyone to stay home. The uk govt says it’s very bad and stay at home as much as possible. There is something about being faced with lots of facts from everywhere. The govt is considering forcible lock down if people don’t get in line. Epidemiologists in our country are saying it’s incredibly bad, not one is stepping out of line in that, WHO says it’s bad. I also watch lots of stuff and read. So doing me own research I think it’s bad.

As a younger man I often had to work Southend, Leigh Shrewsburyness. Always took me shorts and such for a run if there. Fran, nothing wrong with running f you stay well away from everyone else’s exhalation. The virus can hang in the air in its minute aerosol form for a considerable time, it is microscopic. If you smell garlic, food smells or such coming from someone that means you are breathing in their exhalation.

On the positive Cuba sending doctors to Italy- Cuba developed a great healthcare system using education and low tech, low cost stuff, due to the embargoes. All credit to them and a sign there is more good in the world. I fear for the UK and the mismanagement we have at the top, the promised ppe not arrived in hospitals etc. The USA starting to get big numbers. So I think it’s two months before any calm returns to markets. Could be it’s the bargain basement now, could be we is all doomed.

Soul sister, it really is incredible that at a time when everyone fears for family, friends, others in the world and themselves the only interest left is to try to diminish or upset others with insult, goading and inference. K8, true I like to pontificate, I have no problem with that. I often pontificate on my hope that in all areas of my life I am successful in 1) not using someone else’s name ( even if marginally different). 2) Not doing anything hurtful or spiteful to others.

Inki, I think the chat on here is a little bit social club, which may well not be in line with the orthodox line of a share bb- but, I might add you do like a tangental wander yourself. So all in it’s quite a good thing.

I am a little ambulance about the meaning of inkisblue post referring to GITS. I am not sure if anything is met. I should just like to say I have known GIT personally for a number of years. He has gone the extra mile to help people over time, including me. Yes he is an incredible pain in the side, does not really have normal social skills, but he is a very decent human being. What he says is how is. If you was in a ditch at the end of the world he would be a very good chap to have with you, albeit irritating at times. He has no agendas other than he says. Just saying.

I saw on the news last night a Spanish guy being thrown out of his accommodation which went with his job at a Britannia Hotel, as they don’t need staff right now. He had worked there two years, it ain’t easy to get back to Spain at the moment. Inhumanity like that now? Isn’t it bad enough. If I get through this I will avoid them hotels.

As regards all businesses, I reckon the markets need to be suspended until some semblance of adjustment and means of returning people to work takes place. Then the production of anything including tungsten can be measured for what it is. All true value is lost on a sea of insane cost and price. When the USA takes the measures it is the free market is demonstrably not the way for this crisis to be resolved, everything is becoming based on a command economy, will do for a short while. After that the market economy can return, but it is not one at the moment and the stork markets cannot reflect correctly in those circumstances imho.

I must admit economics is something I stopped at o level , and that was when dinosaurs ruled the earth. So I would always bow to greater knowledge. My understanding is at a basic level is if people have no or a reduced faith in the money it becomes worth less Mars bars. If money is pumped in say pound notes and nothing is actually produced for these pound notes that sort of happens, like Germany after WW1, Venezuela, Zimbabwe. There can of course be deflation which is its own bad. But lots of available cash for no production of goods or services cannot be good, of that I am certain.

On Tuesday queens at Romford had carnage with people going in unable to breathe. From Italy the foctor was saying people on ventilators and 50 or lower and not coming round.
Extrapolate that everywhere And nothing about anything will mske sense, it’s all unreadable.
With treatments coming on stream It will pass, or at least we will have come to terms with a new way of living. Investment wise it’s don’t panic, cos if it gets so bad the system will collapse. Given the money being thrown around surely that’s a lot of printing- hyperinflation?
So if it’s an apocalypse financial or otherwise it don’t matter what you do, if everything holds together coming out the other side Wres will be a really good buy at the moment and there are other tasty buys too.

Troajan, if we are running at 80% for March that would reduce 160 tons. If there were some produced jan and feb then that’s more. That would be nice overall if we can 150 tons for the quarter it would keep the sharks at bay, well at least the opex and interest- in these time that would be excellent.

Watching question time , evidently the anti body test which will be an instant indicator at point of test and will be available in two weeks. That’s such a powerful tool in infection control that, for me personally, is more important for my existence than tonnage reports. Also great news for many overs that it might help to save. Brighter notes are that only three days ago we had a RNS saying ramp up production continues, as it’s a RNS it has to be true at the time and not something that can put out lies. The apt price as the basis for the concentrate price was at $240. Our workers can continue working despite the lock down.
I understand the Spanish govt have said they will provide money to ensure liquidity of companies if there are cash flow issues due to the virus crisis.
For the virus testing improving with antibody testing likely to come on stream. Treatments coming in stream. But numbers will get worse, so bad days ahead for every thing.
