Indeed the world is changing, especially with electrification, computers and electronics. Tungsten has a high melting point and low vapour pressure; it is relatively chemically inert and has conductive properties- so it gets used in lots of electronic roles; in integrated circuits, as electrodes and other things, particularly in new solar panels where tungsten is used in place of gold as it works better. There is, of course, improving metallurgy and alloys so it’s getting used in steel that needs to be hard wearing e.g. plough blades etc ( Farmers Weekly).... and yes it used in tooling which there is still a fair bit of across the world. So good stuff really.

2cv, didn’t think you was being obtuse, just saying I think we will only get totals because of contractual agreements etc on the details. You are right though, despite delays this has been completed at lowCapex, from what we do know. Big well done for that .

There might be contractual restraints on what cost what etc, the rebate on the delays is confidential so we might get a finalised total price, but not all the minutae.
What I would like to see is the grant money. Income from tungsten and tin .... and gold, lots of gold.
