One thing is certain. This Brexit malarkey has divided the entire country, friends, workplace and home. Most likely next thing to happen is that the fracture and arguments will not go away, ever. Atrophy might not be an entirely good thing, but falling too deep in entropy isn’t. The rule of the Gods of chaos or Gods of law. Balance is required this is not possible imho. Every BB, social media, TV discussion program, newspaper, radio report etc etc etc argue endlessly. The only thing that people can agree on is that we are heartily sick of this impediment to open thinking. Regardless of outcome, I doubt this wound will heal. And......if you take a side the saviours are to be Boris or Corbyn, God help us all.

Franny, absolutely more is required. That is my certain view. We here had 50 years of integration, all things should be considered. I certainly am proud to be British and this looks like it could fracture the United Kingdom as another outcome. If we do have to exit then it should be in stages with a pragmatic approach. If we crash out half the population is going to be upset, if we stay fully in the other half will be, we end up divided and arguing forever, like Lilliputians with our eggs. Make it a longer term project to bring people on board or put us in a position to revere if goes pear shaped. Thats my opinion. Would you want to rush into starting up a tungsten mine like hemmerdon or prefer la Parilla with longer term planning, design and contractual arrangements. I did not vote in the referendum. I don’t agree that this is a simple thing.

Kev, Cummings is an unelected bureaucrat, and to me looks like a be unelected, megalomaniac and corrupt, but not stupid. However, Nobody voted for him to threaten MPs on their career, sack ministerial advisers, or run campaigns on behalf of the government. Whatever anyone thinks of Bexit, it requires more deliberation and organisation than head long rushing by buffoons and Cummings.

Kev, I have read a fair bit on the farming issues. The facts are that Brexit no deal is a farming disaster. We will loose farmers and quite likely the look of the countryside as it is at the moment if we go out as we are. The economics outside the EU do not make it feasible to maintain farms. Everything else aside, farmers and particular sheep farmers voting for Bexit is bonkers. There may be benefits (?) for others, but definitely not for farmers.

The numbers have been well discussed on podcasts and also quoted. Without recalling exact words, MM has said that we are a low cost producer and able to withstand a low price- in fact he said something along the lines of that being an advantage to us coming out the other side of a price downturn. DYOR and you will see.
I am pretty sure CEOs don’t do news releases at every twist and turn on a commodity price, they go up and down quite a bit.
There are strange outcomes to low prices and other events and the misfortune of one can benefit another: we just got spirals cheap from Wlfe. However, the investors there have suffered grievous harm and people have lost jobs- So I take no joy in the failing there, but there may yet be other things we can get cheap, trucks and such? I do not really know, but prices move and we are not fully ramped up yet prices will rise. Current low price means we there may not be much take up on more kit from liquidation at Hemerdon leaving it cheaper still for us. Regua has to come on line and any fire sales could save lots on starting up there. All theorising of course, but if there is opportunity it will get taken.

Prices for APT are down. There is a large stockpile to clear from the Fanya debacle to clear. The suppressed prices will cause less efficient producers to close. Once the stockpile is cleared ( or more like kept taken up strategically) and some producers closed what you are left with is demand outstripping supply. For a low cost producer this is a very good time. We are a lot cost producer . QED. IMHO. ...and I don’t think I have been rude or insulting to anyone........oh and there is gold to come.........oh and Regua to start production.

Kev, you are absolutely correct on the low wages. My daughter works in Salamanca and has an MSc ( it is an ology), she earns a very low wage, having previously earned a high wage in the UK. Evidently, the quality of life is much better though and she gets all my money ( not that much, but enough) when I die, so is not worried. Labour cost in Spain is not a problem, whereas people getting work is- supply, demand etc. On a socially moral point, we are, and will be providing good jobs and money in the region. Good luck to ourselves becomes a good thing for the local population. Win win.

Red, I make you correct. The APT price is holding up well considering the Fanya overhang. I read that the effect of that is already priced in. When we produce we may see other producers drop away; strangely this price drop from the stockpile could result in us being far richer than was envisaged- what genius. It’s a perverse world where what seems to misfortune is a harbinger of great fortune.

However, the projected costs are based on planning, design, Jorcs and equipment capacity, which are verified by the due diligence carried out by the regional government of Extramadura, Blackrock and the Extramadura bank.

I should also mention we have all the benefits of being in a EU jurisdiction, superb infrastructure access ( water and transport links) and for the EU, cheap labour costs. Labour cost are further reduced albeit as we have installed state of the art kit that is highly automated.

OMR, that’s probably Atilla selling out (or someone like him), if that’s they way they feel. It is also true APT is at a low price currently and that’s due to the Fanya exchange sell off of stock overhang, but that’s finite and will pass ) they can only sell the stock off once). It’s keeping the price lower, but European customers are buying produced apt. So that can all have a negative affect. Then again, why people sell is down to their own reasons; we have seen people pass away, some have needed money, some see another opportunity. What we will get is some good hard news, but it is taking a long time and until the news rolls in we will be in the doldrums. My view is that sept should see a cascade of news, all imho.
