With 380,000 followers on Instagram and 130,000 subscribers on Youtube, I wouldn’t underestimate the potential tidal wave of new investors next week. I also wonder what will happen if Umar Kamani decides to throw away a little of his £160m cash to increase his 2.6% stake on the cheap, along with further director buys and the odd institutional investor in the very near future. I guess the price might go up a little… but then again maybe not, maybe they’ll all check the 20-day moving average and think again?

If each of Samuel Leach’s 13,000 subscribers follow in his footsteps and buy £100,000 of Boohoo shares, that might push the price up a bit next week.

More money than sense, that’s for sure…

Umar Kamani didn’t exactly say he was or will be buying but strongly hinted. His tweet on a #boohoo #boo thread (9:06am 16/12/2021): “ Be brave when others are afraid. Be afraid when others are brave. -Warren Buffett” suggests to me that if he hasn’t already, he certainly intends to.

My paper losses are more than I could earn in a year through my 9-5 job and more than I could hope to save in 5 years or more. The only house I will be buying any time soon is on a Monopoly board lol. Nobody to blame but myself and my own greed. Doesn’t seem much point selling now, just have to sit it out for the foreseeable and try to forget. An expensive lesson.

It’s true that if you aren’t making profits on all the extra revenue, the growth is pointless. But it reminds me of a game of monopoly. Every Christmas I enjoy a game of monopoly with my brothers (and my daughter and nieces will probably be old enough to take part this year) and as usual I expect to win. Why? Because I consistently acquire as many properties as possible, as soon as possible, and tether on the brink of bankruptcy for the first 10 laps round the board. I’ll make opportunistic deals to secure further properties and borrow money from other players with promises of greater returns and “exemptions” for if or when they land on my hotels… it always comes good eventually, the potential for huge profits coming with the growing pains of expanding my presence across the board. This is exactly what I see happening with Boohoo. They’re doing their bit to expand the business, it’s just a waiting game now that at worse may take slightly longer than expected to reap bigger profits.

Agreed. Pills, jabs, instant tests, vaccine passports… crazy drop. I’ve bought in this morning and predict pent up demand for travel and holidays will create a huge bounce. (maybe not until next year though)

If Pedro forecast the bottom of SRB at 78p before it dropped into the 50’s, that’s not good news for Boo…

Ex-div date June 25th? Could see a slight rise tomorrow and down the following day? But the sp has been less predictable than normal of late. I bought well into the £6’s which seemed like a bargain, now I’m not so sure! Lack of director buys doesn’t inspire confidence either.

From what I can gather, this has been an ongoing campaign since 2018/19, largely ignored by the government.
The meeting is being attended not only by Mr Kamani but by Andrew Reaney, Group Director of Responsible Sourcing & Group Product Operations of the Boohoo Group.
I must admit that before researching I was not aware that that Boohoo even have a director of responsible sourcing.
If the report is not favourable, I believe Boohoo will have been planning meticulously for this session, ready to confront sustainability issues and use it as an opportunity to put forward commendable longterm plans and however negative the publicity may or may not be, it’s going to be another step in the right direction for Boohoo.
