Pacifico, why are you saying we can expect FY22 outcome AISC to be at least $30 oz and thus loss making, when the Q2 Production Report says “2022 all-in sustaining costs on track to meet guidance of $18.5-19.0 per silver equivalent ounce”

What am I missing?

Also San Jose Q2 2022 production exceeded Q2 2021 by around 3.65koz gold and 199koz silver despite reduced tonnage due to covid restrictions and a fire. Won’t rising grades here and increased tonnage for the remainder of the year replace Pallancata’s contribution to full year profit targets?

I’m not particularly clever about mining related business and interpreting production reports, so please correct me where I’m wrong.

It’s hardly destructive debt though, is it? Fully funded acquisition with huge cash generating potential and likely high yield dividend in the not too distant future.

Without wishing to gloat, I sold out on June 16th at 110p to divert all my money elsewhere. Wasn’t planning to buy back in until an update on permit extensions, without which I don’t see how Hoc’s new Brazilian project can be adequately funded (and was slightly suspicious of recent appointment of Peel Hunt as joint corporate broker) but sub 80p is irresistible. Will possibly regret it tomorrow but I’ve been following Hochschild too long to watch this what I see as an opportunity pass by.

Yesterday’s news, rehashed from a Financial Times article from Saturday 2nd. At these lows would be very surprised if not priced into the SP already, although today’s recession fears and wider market fall likely have exacerbated investor uncertainty. Deutsche Bank obviously not worried.

I think many small time shorters will be happy to close for the weekend and celebrate their winnings. There don’t seem to be as many doomsayers as I’d expect in this situation. No declarations that it’ll drop to £1 or anything silly, only a few weak references to £6.50 and unfounded suggestions of a rites issue (which are quickly dismissed). Hopefully this reflects the fact that most Asos shareholders genuinely believe in their investment.

If war ends, it will be a race to close those shorts. The rise then will be spectacular.

Hoc hedged 4 million ounces of silver at approximately $27 per ounce for 2021 and 2022. Based on current gold and silver prices, just under 75% of their revenue is from gold.

Just a thought but could western sentiment towards Shein dramatically shift when China openly allies itself with Russia? How would this affect Boo’s market share?

So Pedro was right, there was a big seller in the background all along, flooding the market at the worse possible time. Yet it emerges that Jupiter wasn’t selling because they’d lost faith in their investment, quite the opposite, they’d surreptitiously (perhaps over-enthusiastically?) bought more shares than they were allowed and then forced to sell in a hurry. What a twist, and helps make sense of the unreasonably low price. I’ll certainly be buying more over the coming weeks.

It feels like this needs to go below 200p before rebounding. Reminds me of OTB which dipped to similar levels before rallying 50% over the following month. I’m expecting to see a few bounces here in the near future as European countries relax travel restrictions.

The London property has probably increased significantly in value since they bought it and better than directors buys are the share incentive plans, in my opinion. Recently giving 5000 employees 3000 shares each is a great move, and if hedge fund shorters engineer a continued price drop it’s greatly affecting many Boo workers some of whom will be on little more than minimum wage, which isn’t such a great look for the highly respectable Sir Marshall and Wace.

I’m going to wait until post dilution. Sold my 120,000 shares at a 50% loss but will buy back if Amigo’s future is assured. I don’t think 50-100p a share would have been too lofty an estimation once the business is back lending again but that would now only be 2.5-5p after dilution, so it makes sense to me to at least wait for a guarantee that Amigo will survive before buying back in. I may be paying more per share than I sold for earlier this morning but at least there won’t be the dread of losing it all.

USA based Camelot Capital Partners LLP just bought another 1.15% of the company. Could partly be why the current share price isn’t collapsing despite the much publicised supposed short seller attack.

I think many traders were being greedy at sub-200p, greedier when it sank below 180p (thinking they were brave) and are now fearful at 100p. What felt impossible came true and by that logic any further falls could be possible, so fear persists.
