I’m not frustrated, mainly because I believe it’s too early to be expecting much from this company following the WH acquisition. Might see slight growth next year but it’s 2025 that revenue and profits should really take off, until then (for me at least) it’s just a case of gradually accumulating cheap shares, maybe trading a few here and there for small profits but nothing more. I’d argue Joules customers are less likely to suffer “choice overload”, overwhelmed to the point of buying nothing due to indecision or returning half their purchases. I tried looking for a men’s winter coat on Next: 3210 Products Found. Looked on Joules and there’s a healthy 72, which I can scroll through in 5 minutes as opposed to 5 hours!

Offsetting the heating bills this winter could be the extra punters it brings out from the cold, into a place where it’s possible to put a few coins into a category B3 machine in relative warmth and comfort?

On top of the Sunday Times article, another story this weekend “Furious mum blasts ASOS after son receives 'poo-stained shorts' in post”. Reading through to see what the mum’s occupation is, of all the jobs in the world she happens to be a journalist. Which does make me wonder what lengths hedge funds might be prepared to go to smear the reputation of the UK’s third most shorted stock.

If a crystal ball had told me a year ago that the combined market cap of 888 and William Hill will sink to £500m, I’d have said “you’re having a laugh” and looked for a more credible crystal ball.

Difficult to resist fomo but I’m out and happy to watch it rise. Made a few grand from this and will buy back in if price drops back. Good luck to all invested (not shorters!)

I think the fact major shareholders and ii’s reacted to the rns and rumours of chapter 11 by offloading at a pittance proves that they do not have a better idea on the health of the company or its outlook than you or i and are not immune to media speculation and general sentiment. The only difference is that when they sell a percentage of their holding it has a far greater effect on the share price, a disproportionate effect you could argue, opening up opportunities to traders and smaller private investors.

In the same RNS: “ Cineworld expects to continue to meet its ongoing business counterparty obligations.” Why would they say this if bankruptcy is imminent? Sentiment is at an all time low with more questions than answers so I see it as a great buying opportunity. Bought in today with my first 100,000 and predict mid-teens in the next few days or weeks. Just my opinion, still the risk of further downside and I wouldn’t encourage anyone else to buy.

I’m using freetrade+ buying 100 at a time (aiming for a few thousand). Current average 136.15p. No doubt it will fall further but some encouragement I think is that although 888 looks in decline, on the William Hill side revenue slipped only 1% and adjusted ebitda is up 26%

I’m cautiously buying and won’t be surprised to see a few director’s buys from Itai Pazner’s “world class team” in due course.

PYUECK, I agree and suspect Price’s Law applies to a minority of customers making up the revenue of gambling companies.

I think it’s difficult to gauge the true reputation of a company from sites like Trustpilot as customers rarely take the trouble to share positive experiences. Purplebricks has a higher rating than Wetherspoons, for example, where people still flock en mass. I know several people who have sold properties successfully through Purplebricks within the last two years, were happy enough with the process but wouldn’t dream of bothering to write a review. I got a valuation from Purplebricks among others when selling my flat last year. The agent was very friendly, positive about the company he represented and his advice and opinions were spot on. While I eventually went with a conventional local estate agency due to it being a more complicated than expected sale, Purplebricks left a good impression (better than another online estate agency whose name I can’t even remember). So it’s a strong buy from me, in with 10,000 and happy to buy more if it drops.

Dotlink, with $205m cash and a current net debt to ebitda ratio of only 0.34 how bad do you expect Hoc’s balance sheet to be?
