Well Dave, I personally hope you are correct but the company itself seems to be warning us that profitability will be lower than once expected. Incidentally I notice another investor has declared an interest IIT with 7 m shares but has specified the 24 Sept as when 'bought'. Could leave as few as 16m in the hands of us small investors.

What is evident is that some of the speculators are taking their profits and moving on.
On opening today my broker was quoting 1.60 to sell and 1.40 to buy. As of 1030am his prices are 1.48 and 1.15

I still believe, like others here, that the day will come when KLK decides to take us out. It may not be tomorrow or even next month, but I feel sure it will happen .

Some 18 parties have declared an interest in ESL. if there are approx 380m shares in issue this leaves only about 43m ''undeclared''. There is perhaps one largish shareholder that appears not to have declared its interest and that is Fidelity which used to have an interest in 19.5m shares and perhaps still does. this would leave private shareholders with around 23m.

Dbay , now with william Stobart on board, has 40.6m shares or 10.72pct.
TVFC has until 16 Oct to 'put-up or shut-up'.

Will be interesting see what happens and by how much the share price will fall......

PAL at the moment has approx 5000 ha producing ffb. so if they are only averaging 4000mt ffb/month this is at most roughly 50,000mta of ffb so between 12-13,000mt cpo annually. Or have I miscalculated ? rgds

What I tried post end of last week is to say that PAL only receives about 4000mt ffb a month. This is roughly 1000mt cpo/month. So it will take some time before they can accumulate another 3000mt for export and we are now in the off-season when ffb availability is more restricted. PAL needs to access more ffb to put through its excellent set-up. rgds

Have to agree with you Investinvalue. I got into PAL back in August 2015. Have been in and partially out quite a few times but having bought a chunk last week at 0.6 it makes sense to reduce or get out when you can achieve 1.43 and be relatively confident that when all the new players are bored within a week you can buy back in at sub 1p and average down your overall cost. You never lose money by taking a profit...

Well, we have reached £ 30 so what now are you going to do ? I wish I had bought more back in June. Still intend hold.

How can any broker allow a purchase of 10 shares in PAL ?

the investor who purchased 9 shares yesterday at well over the market price has bought another 10 today...and good to see the continued purchases at 159 which makes a mockery of the small uncrossed trade last night at 154. wish LSE would not seize on a little overpriced trade as the market level.

prices are 158.5 to buy and 155.5 to sell.

Thanks yours. Fully agree but how do we get brokers to narrow the spread which, on opening, is 0.797 to 0.55 and this is certainly not attracting trade.
