3. Good news and further milestone with LG and partners

4. Massive opportunity in biosensors

What I didn't do is display a need to believe made up nonsesense re market growth, size of market, access to non existing insiders.

Firstly, thanks to OP for posting.

Spain seems to keep cropping up - clinical testing but it also seems to be a big part of Medusa plan. Maybe it is a door for the whole of Europe especially if manufacturing was established there. I know there is a huge focus on BB on UK but genuinely Avacta seem more focused on APAC, Spain (EU) and I believe a tie up with US partner.

What one will we get first. News of HUA or second cohort? Will either get us past £1.65 and a short squeeze?

Mmmm - I get the point but AS in his Q&A said he thought it was significant. If its significant then it may impact SP.

Maybe it shouldn't impact SP since it could be built in but it might swing sentiment enough. If on first cohort the pk was the same as standard dox and systemic levels similar would they proceed to cohort 2

Current SP is £1.17. Target to close out Jupiter £1.65. If we hit that the market cap is £420M

Assuming no other news then news of cohort 2 would have to do a fair bit of lifting given it means AVA006 at a lower than average dose isn't toxic - that wouldn't really be surprising - the precision part has good preclinical data and dox is dox.

So maybe this news is priced in.

However, it will come as either relief (rampers get ready) or affirmation to cool LTH. Therefore I'm suggesting significant spike by end next week. At that point Jupiter start to close short and we go to slower rise the following week. When I say me its actually something I overheard so take it with a pinch of salt. Insert own analogy.

Not all trials have placebo. For example I might compare low dose vs high dose, early intervention vs late. Accepted these are for established drugs.

It might be the trial shares a common placebo group or that it is compared to standard of care - mabs possibly. If you are non-inferior to the standard of care it would be acceptable to substitute especially if there were other benefits - patient acceptability, cost etc. There again is there an arm syn vs syn+soc

Standard trials attempt to show intervention A is better than B. Where this difference is small you would need 1000s of patients due to the variation in each sample.

Non inferiority looks at showing that the range of potential true values for both products are within clinically meaningful range. It is almost gauranteed one drug will have a result better thsn the other through chance so unlkily to be the true difference. However through the application of stats we can be 95% confident that the real difference is within a range that for clinical purposes mean the two drugs produce the same outcome.

This reduces the number of patients required. Pedantic but its not saying the drugs are equal. This is good news for Synairgen since results can be achieved much quicker due to fewer patients.

Lost a posted the investor meeting recording yesterday. There was also a Q&A.

If you listen to response to Q3 AS says in his mind that the move to cohort 2 (ie a dose based on pleasing cohort 1 and above the standard dox) is a newsworthy event and will notify shareholders.

Market is likely to respond to such an RNS yielding an opportunity for gain. I'm more of a holder than a trader but if you have high confidence in th AVA006 then fill your boots.

Both aptamers and affimers are alternative recognition molecules. Quantative biosensors are a goal for many groups but antibodies have problems that are difficult to overcome. Affimers and aptamers have potential to overcome these (see Deep verge). Electrodes offer an exceedingly low production cost approach (£0.01) opening up the potential of daily testing for huge populations. Maybe it won't be Covid but a commercial biosensor utilising affimers .......
