RSV is another respiratory virus - causes significant problems especially in premature infants. Synergis has been used. Thus paper highlights a more potent neutralising therapy. Would be a less competitive space but given how many babies are born per year 800K in UK....

This came up awhile back - discussion about volumes vs price. My recollection of info to date is

AS stated a CoGs of £2 per test. He then suggested retail price of £20-£30 but significant discount available for contracts.

In the article about E25Bio the CEO quotes

"Bosch says. "Right now it might cost $3 to make it [or] $4 to make it. So affordable will be what it costs."

In same article they state "The average wholesale price for antigen tests is in the $20 range. Such tests are currently in limited supply, and available at hospitals, medical clinics and some doctor's offices." PCR costs more I think (don't know)

If that is the case then pricing of $10+ would seem reasonable especially when everything else costs a lot more and they are throwing money at them. There are also logistics costs with alternatives. If States have done 50M tests at $30 that is (mumble mumble) $1.5B.

**** surveillance agency needs to be announced - then localised testing and restrictions. UK invent it but will be adopted in other countries.
