Paul having read previous messages on here regarding how the RKH sp is so tightly correlated to Brent I was greatly concerned that the OPEC supply announcement was going to have a hugely detrimental affect on the sp. Will there be a lag or is this priced in?

Yes indeed. Oil is a global market. It gets shipped to wherever is lost profitable. Physical oil traders sit in a big room with a big map of the world showing all of their cargoes which they can direct anywhere based on demand. To suggest a customer is too far away geographically is insanity.

Summary of thoughts: If you’re ’trading’ RKH you’re an idiot and you clearly don’t know what you’re doing, or you’re lying, so you should be ignored. There are 1000s of more liquid stocks to ‘trade’. Short term oil price doesn’t matter. What matters is the FID. A major will get involved.

But Brent is roughly 10% lower than the last time Rkh was at this market cap. IS RKH a Brent beta play or is the sp rise because of the news about project financing?

I thought Rkh was a proxy for the oil price? Why the increase today?
