I would expect institutions to take some profit on placement, they wouldnt be doing their job if they didn’t. What do you mean by overbought? Technically speaking, being overbought on a uptrend is a positive thing as it’s a sign of momentum. And a stock can stay overbought a lot longer than a shorter can stay solvent.

With a stock like Rkh SP moves are more likely to be caused by someone knowing something rather than speculation. You don’t gamble in size on a stock like this but you do capitalise on information flow.

This PA is strange. Seems like the market is getting nervy waiting for news. I hope it doesn’t happen because I’m as long as a giraffe’s scarf but any delay or negative news could see bids disappear sharpish.

Further pure speculation is the theory that placees are currently sat on the bid in just enough volume to prop the SP up, to ensure that when they do receive their shares shortly after FID they can turn a tranche of them straight away for immediate profit.

No FID = no requirement for funds = no requirement for placing. ‘Conditional placements’ are perfectly normal. Plenty of placements are entirely conditional on milestones being reached. What gives you the impression this is an abnormal arrangement, because it is not.
