RE: Shorters burnt13 May 2024 09:05
Sods Law. First day in a while when I wasn’t at my desk here in Thailand at market open (2pm. Local time) the RNS that I mentioned as being required last week is published.
While the 27 dollars is disappointing by comparison with DNOs claims, selling 40 k or so barrels per day does compensate.
Clearly a buy back as opposed to a small dividend is better in the long term and this will be a problem for the shorts.
Especially as small dividends are a possibility if profits continue, In fact the shorts may well ‘bite the bullet’ and purchase the shares they have, I suppose, borrowed, taking a loss, which in itself will be positive for the future share price.
Now when I say “poor Itzaponzi” that’s not because the fool was wrong as I’ve told, him or her, so many times. Poor in this case means fools like that who couldn’t see the value in GKP ( only the insane belief that the shares weren’t worth the price they were) were obviously amongst the shorts or they had been too frightened to be a buyer and therefore they are as poor today as they were last week. Which I’m pleased to say doesn’t apply to most of us here, the happy ones today.
Rant over.
Patience paying off.
