recent interview25 Nov 2021 07:46
When speaking about WK I think I heard CS say in the recent Moex interview that he couldn't say anything about the figures on WK due to 'confidentiality' issues. That would imply WK is up for sale as well then. Or was he referring to MT?
My take on the current situation - as much of a guess as anyone's of course - is that Rosgeo have got their claws into proceedings and are responsible for the delay. That RNS two months ago stating WA had nearly completed their several 'specific' tasks and that an update would be announced 'shortly', and the one about DD being 'successfully' completed, were both pretty direct (well, comparatively for this BOD) and very positive I'd say. At that stage I don't think anyone could foresee there being a delay. Perhaps Covid has had an impact on work being carried out? Anyway, all I'm saying is if there has been a delay for what ever reason then the BOD should inform share holders of the reason for it now. It's poor comms to simply stay silent for long periods of time after announcements that are designed to whip up enthusiasm. I'm not saying we shouldn't be enthusiastic, blimey, if a JORC update were to land then the sp would definitely go north, depending of course on what the new figures look like.
As I said yesterday. i agree with many posters here who are suggesting it's the license transfer for NUYD that is holding things up. Once EUA have that in their paws then they can release the JORC and finally maximise the uplift in the sp. Even if they say nothing of any asset sale the sp will re-rate instantly.
What are the kind of figures people here are hoping for? That's not to start an argument please, just a discussion. I've got little idea of what to expect but am hoping for at least 25m oz of Platinum equivalent for MT and possibly as much as 30m oz for NYUD (very happy to be corrected if those are a little out or plain wrong). Seeing as we are currently valued for reserves of 1.9m oz I'd hope for a significant rise perhaps up to as much as 50p, and thats' before any announcement regarding a sale.
Maybe Rosgeo are insisting Russian investors be invited to take part in this part of the process and won't allow the license transfer until a way is found for them to be included.
Either way, even if there is no sale info released, once that JORC and license transfer arrive EUA will be off to the races. Question is, will Russian horses be allowed to join the race.
All just musings whilst we wait just another day, week, month....
