RE: NICE to evaluate the Genedrive® MT-RNR1 Test26 Oct 2022 13:51
Your work and effort here DSFLAT is highly commendable but, speaking as one who has been here for nearly three years, please don’t get your hopes up regarding sales of any products, even where there are decent distribution agents in place (think Beckman Coulter…).
My own feeling is that Budd is just waiting for the NICE guidance to be published and the widespread adoption of the tests in the NHS to kick start things. IHC will have a huge catalogue of products it sells and it’s unfortunately likely to be the case that GDR’s AIHL kit is nowhere on their radar for now - too much like hard work for low sales return until NHS gives it the publicity it needs. Then I imagine IHC would piggyback any PR and lift a finger. Until then I don’t expect any sales I’m afraid. Not trolling, just trying to be realistic going on previous achievements by Budd and his incredible sales team.
The next news will reveal just his bad the sales picture is but there will be plenty of focus on imminent news re AIHL and the Stroke Marker tests. Said it many times now but I think we’re going to have quite a serious dip on the next update but then be given something positive to chew on ) possibly submission of AIHL for the US?) that will help Budd get through the AGM and secure his salary for another year. Then with NICE news imminent in February we’ll see a rise in the sp and either a) have another placing or b) receive a takeover bid. NICE publication should ensure AIHL is rolled out nationwide and that will be the start of GDR’s income stream. This together with their technology makes them just too appealing to the bigger fish imho. Snap it up once UK sales are guaranteed but well before the really big bucks come in from the EU or the US.
Whatever happens I believe there’s some good returns to be had from investing in GDR now if your prepared to stick around for 6 - 12 months.
Personally hope we’re bought out for about £50m so I can walk with a modest profit and stick my two biggest and fattest fingers up at the wunder CEO that is David Budd.
