Actually, answering my own question, maybe they’ll just get a straight forward loan from a bank to cover the next few months. Would be at punitive interest rates but we ask are the business cases in 12 months time should look a lot stronger. Or will the banks, like lths , look at the success rate of sales and tell them to come back once they’re generating income?
Low ball buyout looking far more likely now than ever imho. £20m is pocket change to a big pharma and that works represent a 100% premium to the current sp so no one could argue it wasn’t decent value.
GDR should not be in this position though and I’m furious with Budd and the Chairman for being so rubbish at commercialisation of products. To date they’ve not had a single success and that’s why we’re in this desperate situation. A buyout would doubtless guarantee Budd stays on and gets his stupidly high salary and lths would be rewarded with bugger all for their loyalty over the last three years or more.
