Even if Peel Hunt were to gain 30% I don't believe they will get involved to the extent they take it private, unless they're do so on behalf of a client. They can't just make a lowball offer like that as far as I'm aware. There are rules on take overs etc and I think they would have to offer something matching the highest price in the last 12 months? Please correct me if I'm wrong anyone. I also happen to think that would not be in the interests of the Directors themselves and certainly not what Gilham would want. If that was allowed they would buy 30% of every company going and then buy it on the cheap and quickly sell them on for a n easy profit.

Personally I think PH will just want to dump their shares when the sp rises and leave GDR to it.

One thing I would question though is the number of tests and preference for CYP2C19 over lab testing. It was made abundantly clear in the public consultation documents that - all available to read on line - that lab testing is preferred over PoC testing. Where possible lab testing will be used. However, it is estimated there will be something like 35,000 CYP2C19 tests used throughout the UK working on the basis of 110k strokes per year. The revenue isn't quite as great as we would like to see but it's a huge step in the right direction. With funding for the next 12 months - as long as Cheek and pals don't get over excited and start spending it all - the revenue that will hopefully be generated will create an ebitda for GDR for the first time that's worth taking note of. If GDR are generating £3m per year the ebitda will come into play and move the mcap higher. All this is assuming NICE give a FULL recommendation in July. If they don't then it's going to get very, very ugly around here.

Fully expect PH to sell half of their shares once the price reaches anything near 5p. They won't care about the news in July. They will just sell for a profit when they can. Let's hope they hold on until 5p rather than dumping en masse once the 2p reaches the dizzy heights of 2p.

Getting interesting here now though.

So what to expect in the short term? MMS raise the price and PH dump a load until they’re under the 10% threshold and then sp drops back again?

Just my opinion but I now think Dr C will be bought out at a premium but the rest of the company will be sold for next to nothing. Just got to write this off unfortunately. The circus will close soon but there will still be a clown saying he’s running the show.

Surely he’s not going to have the cheek to do another equity raise?

And just for the record, I think they will eventually announce they have about £700k together with a timeline before they need to call it a day. The clock is ticking now….

More likely he just wants to protect his money here and with over 10% he’s not going to be steam rollered by any shady or stupid plans Lars might have. Dr C being heavily invested here is the only Ray of hope that Lars won’t do the dirty and completely shaft existing retail holders.

Tiger, the RNS states quite clearly if GDR and PH agree between them then they can release the shares as late as June 17th. Given the dilution is so massive I think they’re probably being sensible and drip feeding the new shares on to the market floor. The bigger nominee holders eg HL might be the last to see customers being given their shares. Dunno. As usual it’s not an open and honest market place as there is one rule for all but…the iis know all the tricks to get round things where as most pis don’t have a scooby. Anyway, relax, you’ll get your shares and most poorly see an instant loss because surprise surprise the sp is below the placing price.

If there is massive selling going on then it will be the pros as they know the sp is going to have a flash crash and they can get more shares cheaper in a week or two

HC- that’s what I expect too but can’t see it in black and white anywhere. Thought at least on LSE it would have been updated seeing as the whole market has known what’s about to happen.

Hope not investdonk. Every share I’ve been in That’s try to re-list in the US has ended up being far worse off and with some effectively finished the company. Lars has nothing new to say to uk market so why will the US or elsewhere think differently about investing in CPX. Anyone looking at recent track record - last year - will run a mile. Let’s face it, the one and only positive here is that Dr C has been accumulating. Why? Anyone’s guess.

Is it possible they can’t release so many all at once without creating a disorderly market? Anyway, as things stand nothing has changed. Mcap still £2.24m and a share price hovering just below the placing price…as expected. Half expected some fireworks today but you can always rely on GDR not to deliver when you most expect it to.

Stephen- yes, they are different but you can’t get to distribution issues until you’ve converted the initial steps of registrations and regulatory approvals, for which the clinical trials are needed. I don’t think a distribution partner would be signing contracts - dotting i’s and crossing t’s - years before they even know if the product will gain FDA approval.

Anyway, it could well be BC and they are just going to help in these early stages before they then take on the distribution. Personally I don’t think there’s another RNS due on this so will just have to politely disagree.

This week is going to be an incredibly important one for all lths. Do we finally see an opportunity to recover some losses from the last few years or will it be yet another case of ‘this is an opportunity to lower your average further?’

I’ll be watching keenly and if the sp does drop further below 1.45p then I’ll be adding another £20k at some point. After all the manipulation of the sp and pi55 poor management I still see GDR as an acquisition target. I think given where we are now and all the difficulties with funding and gaining approvals to sell etc I think Gilham would be mad not to consider inviting bids if the mcap got to £30m or so. Would there be many here who would say no to a take over giving share holders back 10p a share? Can see it going for slightly more than that and am praying that just for once I might be right about GDR’s near term prospects.

Stephen11 - son you don’t think the recent announcement of US partner to help with clinical trials is what Cheek is referring to in that presentation? I’m afraid I do but could course be wrong. I think we’ve had it and they chose not to name the partner. No idea why they wouldn’t.
