A take over bid below the year high can't be put forward I believe?

Thus if a sale were to happen any time soon it would be at a very decent price compared to where we are now but nothing like as much as the company will be worth in two years time. After the years of waiting - sorry Sharedealer, I did invest (not trade) a 'few years' ago and this has been a fair old disaster - how many of us would happily walk off if a take over price of 10p per share was offered? I know I would.

Share holders here deserve some info on what has occurred and why NOW!

Gino, do not please make the same mistake as your predecessors and go silent. That will only serve to undermine sentiment and confidence from the market.

To say this episode has been a sh.t show is not overstating things. This should have been a transformational week for the company and share holders and yet again the senior management have botched things up. Share holders deserve an explanation!

Personal thoughts are one of two possibilities. First, Cheek had to go because he had no sales lined up and has realised they are a way off. and the Directors have called him out on it and ousted him. Or secondly, and less likely, he has been discovered to be in communication with a potential buyer and hostile bid and so removed with immediate effect.

I think Gilham and Gino will be sending out overtures to potential buyers now before GDR really gets stuck on the rocks and the mcap drops below £10m again.

Well, I’d certainly expect some kind of immediate comms from Gino asap, maybe an interview to generate some good PR and get people focused back on the good news from NICE. If he stays as silent for as long as Budd and Cheek then sentiment will just ebb away even quicker. He needs to announce urgently which conversations are going on so the market can see where future sales might occur. Cheek told us nothing. They’ve today botched this week and clearly had no plan as to how to hit the market with some good feel facts when all the eyes of investors were on GDR. Totally botched. After the long wait for this good news from NiCe the one thing they’ve announced is the imminent departure of the CEO. Nothing else. Wtf??

Guy??? That happens all the time on takeovers. Surely you know that?! Standing CeO surplus to requirements imo and will be told if he doesn’t go then he’ll be sacked. Some kind of bonus payment can be agreed behind closed doors if a deal is sealed.

Clearly something has been going on as the silence since NICE news was deafening. It was as if Cheek had been told NOT to get the market excited by letting on anything was imminent.

Either that or the sp and mcap losses since the news has taken them all by surprise and now when they should have been signing and sealing sales agreements here there and everywhere Cheek had nothing lined up and therefore he’s been ousted. Don’t know is more likely but obvs I prefer the takeover narrative. They have really good tests but can’t sell. Someone somewhere will see the opportunity to make this come good and there will never be a better time to make a move imho

To take it much lower quickly and encourage panic sells.

Would not be surprised to see this back at just above 3p by the end of the day. Holding up better than I anticipated so perhaps market gurus also think takeover on the cards.

Buyout Figure of £30m ? Would be an utter bargain. Too cheap by half but we are where we are and someone will see the potential for a killing here.

You think Gino will take on the role for less than £300k per annum?

Sounds like a takeover move to me and perhaps Cheek didn’t want to go. If he was supportive then he’d have just announced it at the same time as a takeover but perhaps he really wanted to keep his salary - no one cd blame him.

American partner moving in for the kill before any sales announced and sp starts to recover? Don’t know. Initial market reactions won’t be great but Gilham is no fool and won’t have allowed Gino to be moved to CEO role unless there was a good reason to put him there.

Interesting development but I did think that X post the other day showed frustration and perhaps Cheek has just misfired in developing key relationships with people in the NHS. Patience needed to see what’s really going on.

Agree that Gino having more skin in the game is a good thing and that he will want to get good news out quickly so am holding for the time being.

There is so much confusion on how GDR can see a way to selling their CYP2C19 tests and no one actually fully understands what the plan is btwn the NHS and NICE for getting it into NHS hospitals. No one knows exactly what it is they are attempting to implement even. It’s a farce and I don’t now blame Cheek for showing his frustration at why major hospitals are not adopting AIHL tests either. Why are the major London hospitals not interested?

I can’t see any path to GDR achieving meaningful sales, and that’s even if they had a good sales team! Yet again owing to lack of clarity there will be many like myself who now have no choice but to grin and bear the ongoing situation. I’ll have to be patient and just wait. Possibly years still before revenue makes GDR a profitable business and I am now fully expecting the company to come back to share holders yet again to ask for money. Either that or Cheek just tries to take it private. Today’s sp action wasn’t too bad compared to the some sectors but the company has just had what should have been a game changing RNS and it’s now slowly heading back down towards the placing price. Having said it would be great if Cheek and Directors bought more shares I’m now more worried that they might sell whilst they’ve doubled their money. Sp going back above 4 p any time soon is now a pipe dream. Fed up of waiting to recover losses here but unless I accept another major loss I’ve just gotta sit and wait for the Directors to finally get some sales deal over the line.

GDR needs sales revenue of about £6m+ to cover its costs for 2025. Thus far it’s at about £250k max.

Still doesn’t say what the resource is that’s being implemented. Cd be a pilot for lab tests to try and deal with the extra 35k minor stroke victims ? Either way no hospital has to purchase the machine. Dear oh dear.

I think this is going the same way as MT-RNR1 meaning it’ll be a slow take up, Trust by Ttust starting with those on the Greater Manchester area. Gradually there will be others but it’s by no means going to snowball.

Hope Cheek has some good news up his sleeve for us soon. Would be a fab opportunity to buck the trend in the wider markets and really draw attention to GDR as much as possible

Two ways of looking at Peel Hunt being in control - but no one knows what they're up to for sure....

1) They still have placing shares they want to dump - in which case they won't want the sp to drop any further.

2) They have a client who wants to load up and are suppressing the sp until they've filled a large order.

They won't want to be controlling things in order for the sp to crash. One month from now things will look much more rosy. I'm pleased this is holding up fairly well. Every single one of my other stocks is red today. The wider market will recover, as it always does.

Oh honestly I would but I used all of my trading pot buying more at 3.35p on Friday. No choice now but to sit this out and hope for news on meaningful sales soon.

With Peel Hunt on Bid and Ask I’m actually happier because I know they’re needing to control it for some reason and that won’t be that in a few months they think this will be lower. Come autumn it’ll be much higher and by year end I hope for much higher. Much higher

Now wd be a great time to see Cheek and other Directors buy some more shares

Whole market on the fall. Btc even dropped below $50k. As always with the market it will recover and so will GDR. Wish I’d kept something in reserve to buy now

Sales. Nothing else matters. Sales. We have none to talk to about yet. Patience needed. Will hopefully only be a matter of weeks before Cheek has something to announce to the market

I’m reading the info on given links by other posters aimgambler and it’s not making for a rosy picture. I’ve made some assumptions in the past and been caught out, I admit that, but it seems as if the response from the NHS hasn’t been overwhelming. There certainly won’t be anything like a nationwide roll out so where does that leave the company? Waiting for FDA approval of AIHL test and sales in foreign territories of both CYP2C9 and AIHL test. I’ve just been over optimistic here again. Nothing more nothing less. Massively disappointed but just gotta sit and wait for some good news on sales somewhere.

Where do you think they’re going to sell these tests anytime soon?

However, I think August is going to be very busy because they’ll be scrambling to try and find buyers from abroad now it’s becoming clearer sales via the NHS are going to take years rather than weeks or months. I’m not at all sure Cheek is going to be able to announce meaningful sales come September. He’s definitely sounding a note of frustration by firing off that X post. It even suggests to me that the NHS have actually said no, rather than yes, we’ll buy them all in good time. It’s the kind of post that could burn bridges with key individuals within the NHs and I thought that was precisely why Cjeek was brought in- because he had managed to sell into the NHS previously.

It’s the same old GDR sadly. Excellent products but they just can’t sell and even the NHS appear uninterested, certainly for the time being. I would therefore be surprised if it’s the hospitals in the Greater Manchester area that adopt CYP2C19 first and have to show the way.

M certainly looking as if foreign territories and the US will benefit from GDR’s tests before the UK at large will. Typical.

Cheek, whilst clearly frustrated with central London hospitals ignoring MT-RNR1, needs to focus on areas such as the ME that don’t currently have lots of laboratory testing units and thus would be more interested in simply using the test kits in hospital settings ie point of care.

Can see the sp dropping a lot further this week with Cheek and the team failing to have anything ready to go for the big day after July 31st. ‘‘Twas ever thus. In the words of the George Harrison song ‘it’s gonna take time, a whole lotta precious time, is gonna take plenty of time’. Followed by ‘it’s gonna take money….’ You get the gist.
