GDR can't sell. End of. Someone else will swoop in who can. It is that entity that will see the really big bucks from GDR's products in another 2 or 3 years time.

Takeover price must be a minimum of about 14.5p per share. Pay that now or wait for sales to be confirmed and have to pay 25p in a year's time? Easy choice. And one big pharmas make all the time. Convinced this is what is going on.

Nah I think it's the silence from the new CEO. Silence is never a good thing. How often do you see a new CEO appointed and there's the usual waffle of statement saying 'I'm delighted to be joining so and so and am excited for the challenges ahead bla bla bla' which comes out either the day they are appointed or certainly within 24 hours. Gino was appointed over the weekend and it was announced first thing Monday morning. Over half a week and not a word from him. I had hoped his comms might for once be an improvement for GDR share holders but .... perhaps his silence on this occasion is a good thing. As I said before, the longer he just says nothing the more I think it's because negotiations are going on behind closed doors and we will just have an announcement of a takeover bid and share holders will be asked to vote on it. Hopefully it will be a decent offer and thus be a foregone conclusion and we can finally reap some rewards for staying the course. 14.5p would be a good price. Not as much as I'd once hoped for but after the catastrophic mismanagement of the company's financial situation over the last two years I think I'm now just grateful something like this could really be about to pop.

Day traders - some will be lucky and be in when the news drops. And some.....can't be helped.

Jazim, well reasoned post but this is exactly why I posted earlier in the day that a potential buyer would move sooner rather than later and that a potential takeover price would have to be a) above the Year High as a set minimum and b) voted through by share holders. 6.5p is out of the question and actually not allowed by market rules. A price of 14p is about the minimum. About £75m

Would a potential buyer, now GDr have key approvals, want to wait a year so they can buy GDR for double that amount? I’m not sure. A buyer would absolutely have to recognise potential market sales and make an attractive offer to all existing share holders. 14.5p per share would look incredibly enticing to most, even lths like myself who have averaged down time and again and made the most of the recent placing offers. Time will tell

We had the same thing at the end of yesterday which set us up for this fantastic rise today. So I'm hoping/expecting for similar tomorrow.

If Gino says nothing tomorrow or the day after then I'll be even more convinced something major is afoot and we will have something to celebrate shortly. there's a plan and Cheek either didn't like it or wasn't required for it to happen. Anyway, he can hardly feel disgruntled. He's earned nearly £300k in the last year and given £10k worth of shares at the cheapest share price possible. If this is sold at anything like 12p then he instantly cashes in on a rather amazing bonus for his 11 months with the company. Maybe that's why he's gone and his departure is by 'mutual' consent.

If that were true Bipolar (new poster and only ever on GDR as of a few days ago - suspicious? Of course not) then why would Cheek have left?

Talks and negs can go on behind closed doors and it’s only once an offer is tabled that the company must inform its sharebholders. The buyer will want to keep this as quiet as possible for as long as possible so they don’t attract rival bidders.

Gino needs to address share holders as the new CEO asap. Seems unusual and furtive that he’s locked away in his office not saying a word to the market. Normally there’s at least a one or two-liner saying ‘I’m delighted to be the new CEO blah blah blah

Let’s have some fun here for a change and guess a current takeover price.

If sales news had been released this would have flown past 5 or 6p possibly higher so based on that and the year high of about 12.5p I’ll go for that. Mcap of £68m

New company in two years time will be earning possibly as much as £200m - £300m per annum from worldwide sales of both these tests. And this is without CYP2C19 being used for heart attack sufferers….. Then there’s new tests being developed now for the future. Seems like a bargain to me. Worth while hanging about and buying on dips me thinks.

Seems pretty clear to me that now they have both tests approved by NICE the EU and Middle East and rest of the world markets are open for business. AIHL test now on fast track for FDA approval. If I was a big pharma eyeing up GDr would I move now or wait until sales are confirmed and the mcap is far far higher? Or if I had an existing fantastically successful sales team with my own company already would I strike now whilst confidence and value is still low? Make yr initial move and confirm interest and state that the first thing they want is the CEO gone and his huge salary. Once absorbed Gino is head of GDR products with no commercial responsibilities. Makes sense to me.

Offer inbound imv. This is what Gilham wants. Perfect scenario for Gino too who has a lot of shares. Likewise Russ Shaw, though what his role would be moving on I don’t know. Perhaps that’s why he put more in the recent placing: that’s his financial reward for getting the company to the point of a sale.

Tell the market something! Silence make it sound like you're all at sixes and sevens and scrambling about internally to solve issues...

Why didn't he think that in Sept 2023 when they brought Cheek in?

All seems strange that just as they tell the market the company 'would now actively pursue commercialisation in the UK and Middle Eastern countries' it gets rid of the bloke they said was the commercial expert and hand over to the ackowledged scientific expert.

I tell you this is either being taken private or a take over is being lined up. We lths will never see the full value but hopefully we can at least make some gains via a company sale.

I think it's you that needs to re-think Emerald. Those 5 hospitals are in teh GM area - as i stated - and that RNS was from May. There have been no further announcements of more hospitals adopting the test since. Nearly a Quarter without any increase in sales.

GDR's team do not possess the ability to sell. Nor did Cheek. This will be bought out now it's plain for all to see things are in place with approvals coming but the company just can't make the most of it or realise the potential. Someone else definitely will.

Gino, please communicate with your share holders now. We know you read this bb. Explain wtf is going on please.

Lucksin - it's MT RNR1 that's been used in hospitals in the GM area ( and Brighton) but it isn't 'gaining traction' unfortunately or we would have been told about any new hospitals adopting the kit as it would have a direct impact on GDR revenue and thus constitute market sensitive info.

Emerald, get with it! The NHS don't want it en masse and so it's not being rolled out nationally. That was the big hope for either MT-RNR! or CYP2C19. Neither has managed it even though NICE gave the latter a full recommendation.

FDA approval for MT RNR! is now the only hope and that's about 7 or 8 months away.

Keep an eye out for the sales personal advertising that they're looking for jobs. They could be out on their ear along with Cheek if a buyout is on its way.

A take over bid below the year high can't be put forward I believe?

Thus if a sale were to happen any time soon it would be at a very decent price compared to where we are now but nothing like as much as the company will be worth in two years time. After the years of waiting - sorry Sharedealer, I did invest (not trade) a 'few years' ago and this has been a fair old disaster - how many of us would happily walk off if a take over price of 10p per share was offered? I know I would.

Gino, do not please make the same mistake as your predecessors and go silent. That will only serve to undermine sentiment and confidence from the market.

To say this episode has been a sh.t show is not overstating things. This should have been a transformational week for the company and share holders and yet again the senior management have botched things up. Share holders deserve an explanation!

Personal thoughts are one of two possibilities. First, Cheek had to go because he had no sales lined up and has realised they are a way off. and the Directors have called him out on it and ousted him. Or secondly, and less likely, he has been discovered to be in communication with a potential buyer and hostile bid and so removed with immediate effect.

I think Gilham and Gino will be sending out overtures to potential buyers now before GDR really gets stuck on the rocks and the mcap drops below £10m again.
