Only thing I found was William Turvill in the Sunday Times.
Sadly I don’t think Matt’s purchase of CityAM will change the narrative- Too small in influence
Moulding hogs the headlines
Top tip for budding entrepreneurs: when the world gets you down, head to LinkedIn, home of business gratification. Shares in online beauty retailer THG tanked 20 per cent this week after the firm lowered its revenue forecast for the year.
Matt Moulding, the chiselled chief of THG, had a different take, highlighting that the group beat “all profit and cash expectations”. Barring a few trolls, the comments underneath his post were overwhelmingly positive. “Congrats and thanks for sharing!” said one pal. “I highly doubt that these achievements will be highlighted in the mainstream press!” Sure enough, most of the pesky “MSM” focused on THG’s plunging share price, falling revenues, losses and job cuts. There was an exception. City AM’s headline read: “Cash flow improves at digital commerce giant.” City AM’s proprietor is, of course, THG.
