I am not a big fan of Matt’s behaviour but the assertion in your post 0815 is absolutely ridiculous.

Matt’s support at 2023 AGM was down to 95.65% from 99.03% at the 2022 AGM.

I am sure is a concern for Matt.

What you say is true but I do believe he has the necessary support to go private without opposition but he will pay for it.

I believe that’s why he hasn’t progressed with the premium listing as the last thing we wants is new institutional investors standing up against him and his wishes.

Just IMHO.

Matt really doesn’t care about who he upsets anymore.

Fortunately nothing said so far should have a material impact on the share price although it’s obvious to me that he is delisting.

I should have made clear that I don’t believe his Linkedin post on Friday had any material impact on the share price but his behaviour over the past three years certainly has and I also don’t believe Friday’s response was the correct response for the CEO of a PLC.

Let’s hope he takes it off the market ASAP.

The trackers can’t invest until THG has a premium listing.

Absolutely no signs of that happening any time soon?

I am invested here like most because I believe THG is undervalued.

It certainly challenging to find a solution to that conundrum given Matt’s continued behaviours as CEO of a PLC.

Matt is not playing by the rules of the game.

He joined the game when he chose to list the company on the LSE.

Understand Matt doesn’t seem to care anymore but the 35% do.

If he wants THG to stay listed he has to play by the rules but instead he is try to change the rules mid game.

The losers here are currently the 35%.

The only long term solution is take the company off the LSE.

He certainly can’t expect a market re-rating despite any positive results or for the rules to be changed to his benefit.

Understand everyone’s frustration but this can’t continue and a solution found.

The solution is certainly not taking to social media to attack his supposed opponents.

IMHO

It might have been more helpful for Matt to issue an RNS yesterday outlining the positives re-THG and expressing that he knew of no reason for the fall rather than going on the attack via social media about unrelated happenings with unrelated companies?

Just my view.

Yes it’s very wrong but as everyone keeps reminding us Matt won’t change.

So the routes though this are limited and so far the Institutional investors haven’t removed support so they must have been ensured that there is an end game.

Only one play left then and it doesn’t involve a re- rating sadly.

However at the moment, I do think a Middle Eastern financed MBO is by far and away the most likely end here.

Matt’s just done too many outlandish things to expect a re-rating.

Those are the only two end games?

Kelso seems to be “unborrowable” and closing only everywhere but it didn’t used to be.

So no leverage available and probably can’t short?

Not sure about CFDs but also seems unlikely so just a cash trade?

Probably best anyway given usual spread and volatility.

Don’t forget MM has already lost control of THG and only keep’s theoretical control via the ‘kindness’ of other independent shareholders?

Have you any examples of such a set up as I can’t see how he (THG) could keep control over effectively separately listed companies (former divisions)?

If they are listed companies on other exchanges surely exchange rules would dictate that he THG) couldn’t keep control?

The ‘Golden Share’ is a very limited tool and certainly wouldn’t work on multiple exchanges.
