RE: Are house builder shares good value..?11 Jul 2025 17:32
Hi Stricly, yes absolutely understand that, i only take what anyone says on these boards as a personal opinion at the time and opinions can change daily, and never taken as any kind of investment advice, i have been investing in the stock market for many years and like everyone else as well as making some good investment decisions i have also made mistakes on my journey, back to lgen, yes the dividend yield is still good at this current price, so i suppose it depends on which direction everyone feels the share price is going from here up or down, to be honest after exdiv last April i was expecting this to drop down to around 2.20 as it has done in previous years, but it never happened and look where we are right now and not just lgen all of the insurers are doing very well, but the FTSE is currently around an all time high, LGEN in my opinion has bee one of the most reliable shares for dividend income with a progressive dividend, but as this is my largest share holding in my portfolio i will now only add here if it should drop to a lot lower price, in the past this has been a very cyclical shares, but are things changing for the better or will we see a return to lower prices in the near future, i wish i knew the answer to that, as you say it's up to everyone to make their own call on that one
cheers
