Hi Mikey, if it's any help my average is £1.98, quite a few of my stocks are in loss at the moment, but the world is in a bad place right now, so don't expect any sudden upward jumps for a while, but things are starting to recover slowly, I think around may 2021 we will be in a much better place

tp yes that's true with some at least, also don't think people are taking as much notice of lockdowns anymore, not like back in march/April , think the only answer is full steam ahead getting these vaccines out

castle , sorry but I find it difficult to see past the doom and gloom on this share, as it's the biggest loss in my portfolio, and I'm in too big a loss to sell , but I do hope you right , can't see their being much improvement until those ships start sailing

tp Re: masks aren’t working, not sure if that's the case or not, I know in work with me, other members of staff come real close and start talking, and I think that's the case in most working environments , its as if people think they can't catch it from their colleges even though they are from different households and mix with different people even in the hospitals and shops I've noticed the same

Winstanley, that's ok been invested here for some time in my sip and Isa , but would love to see it rise and dividends reinstated

PVI1 lucky for you making profit on those, aren't there any buys you are in loss with, or have you been that lucky

riskingit good on you, totally agree with you, 4600 deaths on top of the usual deaths is not something to be taken lightly
but I suppose everyone's got their own opinion on it

with an average price of 71p after averaging down from 1.26, this is the worst share in my portfolio, don't know if I will get back into profit on this one in the next couple of years , but nice to read the many optimistic posts here.
what do you think guys

danielh, totally agree, no point in moaning about vod as most of my shares are down at the moment that's the risk you take with investments , and I can't see anything improving much if at all until 2021 , but when the bad news stops such as Brexit /virus etc. and some good news comes through instead, these thing can change very quickly and that's what were all hoping for, at present though think these shares are a load of s**t lol

problem is danielh if you bought in at £2.05 per share and look at what the current price has been for some time now, it's difficult to see it as anything but a piece of s**t, but there are many others in the same situation right now, and the longer it stays this way, the bigger the loss, just got to hope things will turn around for the better next year

Think that is really good advise zac0_4 , I have all those funds you mentioned plus others like fundsmith, Lindsell train global equity, and they have all weathered the storms
my company shares on the other hand such as Lloyds, Aviva, legal &gen, Vodaphone to mention a few are all in the red, will be holding on to them until they hopefully come into profit, then sticking to funds, which type of funds do you think are the most profitable, income or Accumulation

Thanks for your replies and your opinions guys, after seeing such a massive drop since £1.26 was a bit weary about averaging down in case it went down the pan, so quite happy to hold for a few years
