cheers sid and everyone for clearing the point thing up, some very brave people on here, putting more money into one share, than I have in my entire portfolio, not being an experience investor like a lot you guys, my portfolio is 30% funds, 25% Lloyds and that's only because of toping up on the lows with the hope of doubling my money, if things go well that is, and the rest in various dividend shares, maybe not the best way to make the most money perhaps, but I think I would be too stressed getting too heavy in one share, lets be honest we have all put money in a share and seen it go down in value, with some regrets afterwards

hi culco, I did take advantage of topping up other shares, that I had more confidence in, such as legal & gen, who paid out full dividends throughout plus lloyds and a few others ,when they were close to bottom price ,as you say adding can increase the loss, and in a way is just masking the initial loss, don't like selling off a share at a loss as long as there's a hope of recovery, and lets face it, when it went into a 70% loss, there wasn't much left to sell, but good luck to you all, and of course i will also be happy if it does do well , but sorry for the lack of confidence in this guys

I wouldn't get too excited about this one, it started going down hill before Covid, been with them a few years, still 57.22 percent in loss, which is an improvement from 70 percent a few months back, maybe I will get a bit more back if I'm lucky, but cant see much improvement happening until next year, thankfully this is only 5% of my portfolio, so not too worried about it, I have taken the opportunity to top up other shares ,but left this one alone, due to lack of confidence in them, a lot of number crunchers with high expectations on here, and I do hope you are right of course, as I will benefit as well

Stayingpatient, if you was an IFA I would have thought you would choose your own investments/shares, rather than paying charges for a managed investment trust ?

falkland, if you add or take away from your shares, you get an average overhall price. can you explain please, why you refer to everything as ranges and batches etc, and what is the point in over complicating things instead of just referring to your average price

not sure about the 2.60, but got a feeling it will go £3 plus, in the near future, but its a divi holder for me, so not that important, still nice to see a good blue figure though

Ah very witty dan, I would go for your, ( do your own thinking) DYOT, some people say they do research, but they still haven't got a clue if the share price will go up or down, just like the rest of us , we just hope it will

well it's swings and roundabouts guys, if you have this as a hold for dividend stock , then the sharp drops suit some people, as an opportunity for topping up and averaging down, hopefully it will pass the £3.00 as things improve

As long as the share price stays above my average £2.40 and continues paying good dividend, I will be happy, already in here as heavy as I would like to be, so happy to just keep things as they are, but of course it would be nice to see it going £3.00 plus

So what's your feelings here guys, worth holding or get rid ???

Hi Dan, you haven't said anything, but I assume you have reinvested, so best of luck with that, and I do hope it will go to £2, for you, and also so I can get my money back, have also made a note of your quote, (if it rises, I would gladly buy you a drink. As the saying goes,) ,so hope we don't have to wait too long

Thanks for your words of confidence here guys, and I want to believe and also put more money in, if I can see an upturn, this is not a big dividend payer, so you need to see growth, I can see you guys have made good money here in the last 2 years, but will it continue, if it does I will join in and give it my thumbs up as well

MrMath Totally agree with you on that, I will be trying to re balance portfolio a little, as this Pandemic has sorted out the men from they boys, as far as shares go, and I need some reliable good dividend shares to hold in my sip, and lgen is top of the list for me, I took the opportunity to sell off some of my worst performing funds, so I could take advantage of topping up my favourite holdings when the prices dropped, hopefully this will be a better year for us all

crazy discount, all its done is lost money since I came in about 5 or 6 weeks weeks ago, I realise its done well for you guys in the last couple of years, just hope they can get their mojo back
