Henrythecat, i get what your saying, and although it sounds sensible, i have seen other dividend stocks, cut there dividends, and the share price has dropped like a stone, and can take a very long time to come back, not sure if that would be the case with Vodafone

Hi Dan Amigo, 125-150 well that would do me for starters, positive thinking is ok, but I'm sure you know its a good positive results we really need to get any meaningful increase, so fingers crossed for that, not worried about it mate, but a nice increase in all my shares would be very much appreciated before i collect my state pension, a bit comical with these guy, fighting here, the reality is none of us know which way this is going or how long its going to take to get there, were all hoping for the best

Dorset, well good on you mate, staying invested pays off in the long term, don't mention Woodford though got caught up a bit with that one lol, Funds and trusts are a preferred option for me as well for 60% of my portfolio , followed by 25% Lloyds, and some dividend shares of no more than 5% each, also have fundsmith and various other funds, they have not made much progress since the start of pandemic, but good thing is they have not lost money either, unlike some individual shares
Lets hope for a good winter and profitable 2022 and get back to a good normality

Can't see this dropping south of 250 before april IMHO, but as you say, that would be a good topping up price if it happens, would prefer to see north of 300 myself

Dorset lucky you, i expect you have had a successful business or been left money or both, doubt very much if you got your million from investing a pound

Yea Paul, one of my keepers too, think this will keep gaining now up to April ex div, only problem I have here is I have an average of 229, so any top ups, will mean averaging up, a very nice problem to have I think, wish I had more like this one

Sidi , really hope tga does well for you, knowing when to buy and when to sell is very difficult, something I'm hopeless at, but half my portfolio thankfully is in funds and trusts, although they are not losing money they are not gaining either, so it seems the professionals are struggling in these current times as well, think its just going to be a case of waiting it all out until we hopefully get a good recovery at some point
It reminds me a bit of an investment I made with hsbc a long time ago, where you invested a lump sum for 5 years, so 5 years later I doubled my money with the profit, so impressed I put my original investment back in for another 5 years only this time it didn't make a penny profit, luckily I was guaranteed my original investment back, think things will come good again will just have to be patient and wait a while longer

Re, magically rise, well we definitely need some magic to get this one moving in the right direction lol.
Difficult times at the moment, and ahead of us I think, im sure things will improve, but when is anybodys guess, nothing is making much progress with me right now, maybe I've picked all the wrong ones, if anyone knows whats making good money right now, Please let me know

HI berl, yes mate, I think its important to have a varied Portfolio, I also have some good ones, but lets be honest I also have a few that have been in loss for a couple of years, think most people have, timing the markets can be very difficult, so well worth the small management fees for smt I think, it will be a long term hold for me
best of luck guys, and hope we have more ups than downs, understand about the inflation concerns, lets hope smt are able to manage that for us, and make the right adjustments

I must admit, i had my doubts about this one, when i first invested here seing my investment going into loss, so glad now that i listened to you guys and stuck it out, one of my best investments at the moment, let's hope in continues

Dan I think you will need a lot more than positive thinking, to get these share prices to rise at the moment, been on holiday for a week, and looks like things are getting worse not better, still got my initial investment here, but sold off my last top-up at 118 for 117 just over a week ago, worrying times at the moment I'm afraid, not just having a go at Vodafone, most of my portfolio is going south right now, and no idea how long it will take to see any meaningful recovery, not moaning just saying how things are, looks like were in for a bumpy ride for a while, lets hope it don't take too long
How are things going for the rest of you guys ?
