Hi Dan Amigo, very good mate, nice to see this going in the right direction again, some hope now of making some money here, also looks like divi is safe, Vod showing as the biggest riser with Hargreaves today, expect their will be a few ups and downs this week, but let's hope we can finish 118 or higher by Friday

Dan & Fleccy, fair play, you both seem committed and confident with Vod & telcoms, and hopefully you will be well rewarded for it, maybe I'm just too impatient, with retirement coming up for me next year, my aim will be to get from 50% back to 75% in funds and investment trusts, to reduce volatility on my sip, but trying to reach some of my goals first, which includes getting a couple of my losing shares back into profit or minimise the losses, I want to include a few dividend shares, the one that's always come out on top for me is legal & gen, others are mng and Vod plus lloyds, Ideally would like to hold on to Vod, as my average is close to £2, but after several years of no progress and a div cut, I will be looking for good results next week, and hopefully a share price and div increase

Fleccy, surely you must be disappointed with your investment here, over the last few years it's gone backwards , very possible that it will do well as you predict, but hoping the share price will start rising from next week not in a few years time, it's well overdue now

Lots of different views and disagreements here today guys, all perfectly normal stuff for these boards, as we're all different, just a shame at the end of the day, the personal insults start again, give it a rest please guys, it really is very childish

Sorry Fleccy mate, but I agree with Dan on this one, my average here now is 185.48p , if I can get 150 I will take my money and run, this has been down in the doldrums too long for me, as you know it went to 140 ish a while back then dropped right back , not saying it won't do better in the future, but just think there's better places to invest your money, I know others here have different opinions, but time will tell on that one
not being negative Dan, just hoping the share price will rise to recover some of my losses here, and may even change my mind if it starts doing well

Agree, liking these daily gains, still - 33% loss for me at this moment, more of the same will be very welcome, lets hope its not an anti climax next week though, fingers crossed for a good result

gfclappah , Fair comment, I get what your saying about dlg recovery growth, and as you said, a bit more risky than lgen, hoping to get in on the rebound, but could be rewarding if it works out well

Re: unless it goes up 3% some people are not happy, maybe you don't understand some of us paid around £2 a share, and just hoping to get our money back, good for those buying in at the current prices though, i get that

So roll on the 16th then guys, so we can get some idea where this one is going or not ?, I take it from a lot of the posts here, that most of you are expecting it to be good enough to make the share price rise a meaningful amount ?

Gfclappah, not much growth in any big dividend shares really, that's normally the reason why they pay dividends, to hold on to their share holders, but lgen is a reliable dividend payer and one of my better shares, always good to have a balanced portfolio though imho

Yea i get that sometimes dan, this site is a bit tempremental, hope this share will continue to rise next week, i have two shares that have been in long time loss, Vodafone being one of them, and would love to see them both back in profit, before retiring next year, a big ask perhaps, but you never know
