Dan, not selling mate, was a bit disappointing seeing this drop after ok results, and possibly it might keep dropping for a while, but i wouldn't have topped up i didn't have any confidence in it, so will probably hold this for an income stock, and will hopefully get some growth here given a bit of time, im in a simular situation with lloyds bank, kept topping up there when the share price was down, so it's now my biggest holding 25%, i could possibly get double back if it goes well, but everything s holding back at the moment

Hey dan, you can still argue and disagree with everyone, no point in going on here otherwise, but just thinking, if you tell us all to go away, there want be anyone to argue with

Sidi & dan, Happy Sunday to you both as well, you know what I'm trying to do here guys, as from this month i am counting down the months now before i get my state pension, so trying my hardest here to try and build up my sip, so i don't have to take a drop in lifestyle, so things are not going to plan right now, as my pension pot is getting smaller not larger, will have to get a paper round if this continues lol
But let's hope things will get better, surely we must be over the worse now

Dan not angry with you either mate, just saying , let the moaners have their moans, and the optimysts have their say, you don't have to agree with anyone though, and none of it will make any difference, so let's all chill out and hopefully wait for Vodafone to make us some money, sure it will, just going to take some time, and it's not just Vodafone everything is down at the moment

Robina, Its the same here mate, I have 8 funds and one investment trust, and they are all in profit, but most, but not all of my individual shares are in loss, my portfolio would be in a better place now, had I stuck to say 75% funds and trusts, I have set myself sell targets for some of my shares once they get back into profit, as they are far too volatile, will just be holding on to a few of the best ones like lgen, I think most people are happy to say how much money they have made on individual shares, but are less vocal about the ones in loss

WOW Dan, you really are committed to Vodafone mate, I hope it will start to do better this week, I will praise it up if it does, but if it doesn't I may have a moan about it, Dan you really need to dump this slogan ( don't moan or sell up and go away) mate, not everyone is as committed to Vodafone as yourself, personally its one of a few shares I wish I never purchased a few years back, and I suspect sidi feels the same, personally I will be glad to get rid of this one along with a couple of others, but I will only do so when the time is right for me, your telling other people not to moan, but you are in fact doing more moaning about it than anyone else, only in your own way, which is moaning about anyone else moaning about it
I've mentioned so many moans here, I feel like a serial moaner

Fleccy, you have gone and killed our dreams again mate, only joking, I need a cple of dividend paying shares anyway, so may as well hold on here and take the dividends, rather than selling at a loss, and the possibility of taking a second loss elsewhere, its hit the 140 a few times recently, so hopefully it can make its way back up there

Good evening Dan & Sidi , Dan my average is 185.48p, it was 197 before I topped up at 118 last week, but also hold Vodafone in isa around 200 p , nice to see this going up a little today, hope we can finish on a high tomorrow, and see this making some progress next week, don't expect any miracles here, but as long as dividend is secure, and we can see it making some progress, it will be a lot better than going backwards like its been lately

yea I wish that's all it was Dan, Of course I hope you and some of the other guys here are right about this getting a lot better soon, but after waiting a few years for it to happen, it would kind of be nice to see it in blue writing , if you know what I mean, still hopeful though, just need to see it creeping upwards

Notmyjob If investing for your kids, It might of interest for you to compare the last 5 year charts for Scottish mortgage smt or fundsmith , to some of your shares, just to see how it compares, let me know just out of interest, I do like lgen though with compounding dividends

Notmyjob, They are not so appealing when they go into the red, and take a few years to recover though, for me having the majority of portfolio in funds and investment trusts, is much less risky, but its nice to have a small amount of shares such as lgen, that you can build on, by topping up when the prices bottom out, but you may be better at picking shares than me, trying to buy in at the bottom prices and sell at the top, is not usually as easy as it sounds, but each to his own, and if that's working for you, then good luck to you

Wil57Woo, not sure why you would sell von at these bottom prices, then buy bt, which reached its peak in June, and is now dropping, but i guess you have your reasons

Hi sidi my friend, because i have a low average of 229, this is one i intend to hold for income, i am trying to get back into mostly funds and investment trusts again, but i need to get up to my target figures on the shares first, which could take some time, i still have 8 funds and one investment trust, and my portfolio would be in a better place right now, if i didnt get so heavy into individual shares, i guess I'm just not cut out for it, but if they do get back to pre pandemic levels, it could still pay off for me as i averages down on them, but that's just speculation and hope at the moment, not sure if anyone else feels the same

Yea sorry mate , your right about that, i want this to do well as much as anyone else, and i am hopefull that it will given a bit of time, and the last report was more promising, i just find it difficult to tolerate rude people sometimes
