James0309 - you are quite correct, in fact that stock phrase which is always used in such circumstances s a safety caveat has been missing from the last 3 official RNS's and has been mentioned here previously.

Knowing that RNS's are carefully crafted I think it right that this is a shift in position, there has been ample time and opportunity to correct it if the company felt it necessary.........

FWIW and I could be wrong, but my take is that they stopped saying it once a sale had been agreed in principle behind the scenes which fits in with the views on the timing of the appointment of DLA Piper - only getting them involved once a basic agreement of sale had been reached. Hopefully we will find out soon enough!

I see Motley Fool have just released another of their very basic, ill informed and poorly researched notes on GGP.

Apparently they have concerns of money running out and the price of gold falling - unbelievable to be honest, I just can't understand why anyone would listen to them or indeed pay for their services, absolute bunch of muppets.

I have been in here a while now and just keep topping up, my second largest holding and breaking all my investment rules but sometimes you just have to do it.

I am an infrequent poster on this BB, nowhere near the knowledge of so many on here but happy to pop in daily to catch up and learn. Thank you to those who do post so much helpful information here, it is appreciated.

its hard to tell exactly how many shares are 'tied up' - but I reckon circa half are held by BOD / Queeld / large investors who are not selling quite clearly, the remaining 1,500m shares are held in nominees accounts with the likes of you and I, now I can only imagine that the vast majority of those are unlikely to be released before news so I agree the available shares must be drying up by the day and whilst there will always be people who are prepared to sell for the right amount, or dire need, this will have been diminishing which is part of the reason why the share price has seen such strong days I suspect.

I can only imagine that without news the rises will continue to be steep through next week as MMs try and prise them away, whilst I am sure we would all like an RNS detailing a sale, it may be nice to see this go on a little longer..........

Remember there were plenty of people saying we would never get anywhere near 40p with an offer, we are there now even before it......

Now bearing in mind what I wrote earlier, wouldn't it really just add a fascinating twist to the whole story if we did get that red dot and RNS in the morning.........it really would be the stuff of legends then, and to be fair, pretty damn cool.

cluelessinvestor - you make a very valid point, and just to add, whilst I appreciate you cannot really compare shares in different sectors etc, it's 52 week low is just 6p, so for those who don't believe such dramatic increases are possible.........

or off setting against declared losses......could be worth selling a few dogs at a loss for some people.

pedarby - and you have to remember that there a lot of LTHs here with significant holdings of 1m shares or considerably more, therefore I feel many may not off load that quickly, with 1m shares just 5p off the offer price (ie 95p for a £1 offer), the % you suggest, would equate to £50k, I reckon I would hold on for that, and of course there is always the prospect of a counter bid, a small chance but a chance nonetheless..........!

if one of the 'several interested parties' had dropped out, would we have necessarily have found out by now?

surely something would have leaked which therefore lends some credence to the suggestion that all parties remain involved and perhaps all have a role to play in whatever happen here.......

just out of interest from those who may be more knowledgeable, if and when an offer is received, how much detail would be provided to demonstrate how the price was arrived at?

there has been a significant amount of information on here as to what resources we may have and hence why we apportion the value many of us on here do, but would it be detailed to show we are getting 'fair value' or do you rather think it will be "this is the figure, we (the BOD) believe it is fair and therefore support it" and that's it.

appreciate the positive words from those who have replied to my ramblings, it was really just mean't to stimulate some thought, I am a bit of a reflector so do tend to go back over things again and again, many could argue with the %'s I applied I guess, however they are not plucked from thin air - the 30% for flanks is reasonable, as are the 10% for the mineral prices and palladium resource estimates, some could even argue I am being too conservative......

at the end of the day all we can do is wait, but it is interesting to see how different people get to different numbers, I had previously stated on here that my view was anywhere between 60p-£1 for a final price, my current view now sits at the top end of that range, time will tell, but I cannot imagine we have much longer to wait to find out what is happening.

I hope for a sale and believe there will be one, however I would certainly ride out any fall out should an offer not be deemed acceptable and we mined ourselves, just can't see that happening, those in the industry know that metal prices are going to rise and rise, perhaps for decades, if they don't buy us now then they will have to pay many multiples in 3-5 years, the big boys will want control of the market and Eurasia's assets help make that happen for whomever wins out.

I am a big advocate of going back and re reading things once some time has passed, since often new information has come to light and it offers a new perspective on the old information, more than that you very often see things you didn't the first time around.

Now I know the ACF report is widely regarded as being a message from the BOD of what we were thinking the business was worth at that time, and it came out with a range of between 54-60p ish, a 100% uplift on current share price which to be fair is not an unreasonable expectation should a buyer come forward, there have been plenty of other takeovers with a 100% premium to prevailing share price.

I re read the ACF again today, probably the 7th or 8th time I have done so, and it is detailed, it is also hugely conservative as the author openly admits. I would recommend anyone who has not read it recently to do so:

1. it applied a 30% discount to MT due to licence 'concern' - that is now issued and sorted
2. it applied spot prices for metals, all of which apart from platinum are considerably up now
3. it used a 40% for palladium resource when geology by it's own admission suggests 50%
4. the target resource has also increased since the report was written, communicated via RNS and company presentation

So, what is all this worth from the starting point of 58p, maybe 30% additional due to flanks, 10% for each of the other 3 take the 58p to, believe it or not, £1.00 exactly......and that is merely extrapolating the ACF report based on new 'knowns.'

Further to this we now believe that our resource base maybe somewhat higher than originally suggested (pretty much guarantee this is the case). We have several parties interested (we know this to be true) and metal prices are only going one way, I have yet to see any suggestion they are due a correction in the short, medium or even longer term.

It all looks good to me.

It is not about hanging up or bullying. This board has many very well researched and patient investors and I am sure is happy to listen to reasoned and well composed discussion whatever the view.

A quick review of your posting history does however demonstrate some very mixed messages indeed. You are for and against the same share within a few hours!

You also repeatedly say how good the opportunity at EUA is so why you would today be out is odd. Erratic behaviour never goes down well.

On another note people should ignore that idiot who has popped up tonight it is so obviously RNSMan and is rude and antagonistic, he appears to thrive on the responses and attention he gets. Just filter would be my advice. He offers nothing of interest from what I can see.

oh yea, I firmly believe it is very positive indeed, just a strange choice of words and knowing that RNS's are crafted carefully, particularly here at the moment, I just wondered how others had read it.

As part of the interim statement, the Chairman closed by saying.......

"Shareholders should recognise that the process Eurasia is in now implies that the Company is very limited in what it can discuss in the public domain. Nevertheless, we look forward to updating our many long-term supporters and new members"

Anyone hazard a guess what the very last sentence means - 'long term supporters and new members'.............it is puzzling me a little, obviously there for a reason, why did he not just say 'shareholders'? - how did others read this bit?

I have noticed for a while now that people tend to use the 2,759m number when working out the potential value of share price given an offer.

However should we not rather be using a figure of 3,032m shares which includes deferred shares and options outstanding - surely these come into play if a deal is secured?

Am I wrong, any clarity from more knowledgeable investors appreciated.

Partly right I believe TC101, you are right that we are likely only to see the official accepted offer, with the shenanigans going on behind closed doors, however that does not mean that another party could not then go hostile out with the FSP, I think it highly unlikely to be honest, as they would probably not be privy to all the relevant information on assets and they would need to go very big to have any chance of succeeding - for those 2 reasons I see it highly improbable, but never say never where this share is concerned........
