Dr Z - I wrote to my local hospital about this at the weekend. From what I understand this compound can prevent cases getting to the point where they need a ventilator. I'm at a loss to understand why the politicians globally haven't latched onto this and furthermore I'm bemused that it should be ignored in the UK where the focus is now to 'make more ventilators'. But then again, apparently Trump et al tried to get exclusivity on a German vaccine against corona with the intention of only making it available in the US. Fake news no doubt but global politics are at play....

In the news today with Remdesivir as a potential treatment for Coronavirus. Quite happy for them to raise their profile as this could reflect very well should they openly express an interest in 737 or even TYK2. The more publicity ICR generate and the higher the profile of potential licencees the better for us. More news next week please!

Interesting little battle going on over at REDX. SP currently up 180% (although it was up 210% earlier). Two parties in a bidding war for the company. Worth reading today's RNS from the REDX Board in terms of how something like this runs. I doubt SAR would get into anything like this, a deal thrashed out behind closed doors is more likely and the we then get asked to approve it. What is sobering is the price being offered and the company's SP historically. Only looks a good deal if you bought in at the low points. It will be interesting to see what the final price is. GLA

Hi Fadec. I don't think we've had anything quite so clear cut as the statement this morning. What I'm waiting on is whether Sierra put out anything in response.

Belhus/IAH - I'm in complete agreement with you both. There's been a lot of talk that Sierra have stopped all work on 737. Incorrect. They have scaled back as we know it isn't effective on its own. However, as a combo it has real potential and news is due (apart from what we had this morning). We now know that they intend to on-licence (good news IMO). TYK2 - nothing has changed. We await toxicity and patent updates. Let the MM's play. GLA

MM's having a field day! Don't panic Captain Mainwaring! Reminds me of 9/11 when a leaked memo from one of Tony Blairs advisors suggested that 'today is a good day to bury bad news'. They got fired - quite rightly IMO. Conversely today is not a good day to release good news. Nothing has changed that could justify the drop. In Sierra's shoes, if I had anything positive to add on the back of this article I'd keep it until next week when things might have calmed down a bit. Anyway, I'm off to work on my self isolation strategy which means plenty of time in the pub....

Hi Chris - As pointed out in an earlier post today its a bit of a **** day for releasing good news. Everything on my watchlist is red (average 7% down) and SAR up 3% so on a normal day I would have expected 10% plus. However, this is good news without money attached so a move upwards is very positive IMHO. What we need now is a bit of normality in the general news arena so that our news doesn't get overlooked. Spread the word people!!

Not sure that anyone else has noticed but there's been a significant change in the language used. No longer using the phrase 'non-dilutive funding' but now talking specifically about an 'on-licence'. I don't think Sierra has any intention of handing this back but sees a useful revenue stream that will prop up their SP. Key for me is whether Sierra choose to acknowledge this news later today. GLA

Hi Krone. The patent is a non-issue in the sense that we already have a patent but if it can be extended through the current application then our value increases substantially.

That could coincide very nicely with patent judgement. However, by then we'll be in peak coronavirus territory!! The good news (spin?) is that everyone will be at home self isolating and glued to their laptops. I hate to think how frustrated this board will be by then! GLA

Potnak - My take (FWIW) is that the lights are still on and so far nothing has changed. In respect of TYK2, it has one value with the current patent and another if the new US patent application is approved. Until that is resolved its stalemate. Frustrating I know but we can't be far from a ruling. GLA

IamH - Like you, I feel they are waiting for something. Given the current market volatility the delay might not be a bad thing.

Ahfam - that's precisely what worries me! Death is inevitable but SAR releasing an RNS in my lifetime saying that TYK2 is licenced isn't!!

Hi Ahfam. I agree with your sentiment. However, unless TYK2 is also going to deliver immortality amongst its many benefits, I can't wait forever!!

Is any one else having problems with LSE? My watchlist shows 17 trades today but only 8 come up on the SAR tab.

Before everyone piles into the BoD, lets bear in mind that SAR are a passenger when it comes to negotiating with Sierra and its ICR in the driving seat. So far Sierra haven't broken the rules. Trials continue and combo results are due subject to the time needed to evaluate the findings. Sierra are just repeating what they have said previously which is that their focus is on Momelot while they look to get someone else to pay for 737 and 141 to be taken forward. As Thoth said a little while back it seems unbelievable that Gilead have invested in Sierra when they effectively dumped Momelot so it's quite possible that they have another agenda for Sierra and in this respect it could well be Gilead holding things up. With regard to Tyk2 the patent application is still 'status pending' and SAR have no control over how long the US patent office may take to come to a decision. All very frustrating. My earlier plea to 'get it done' is at all the parties - SAR/Sierra/Gilead/US Patent Office. A SAR EGM will not move things forward as currently we're at the bottom of the chain.

Last year SAR released their half yearly report on the 4th March. They also acknowledged Sierra releasing its Q10 on 28th Feb 2019. This year nothing has been said about Sierra's Q10 which I find a little odd. If we don't get something on the Half Year position this week then the rumour mill will no doubt go into overdrive. Not sure whether we're waiting on the patent application, Gilead (to fund 737) or 'ANother' to break the news impasse. Like CFP says.... the waiting is interminable. Just get it done! Please!!

We'll get some news this month Potnak and like you I'll be happy with something on 737 as a stop gap. Looking at my watchlist this morning everything is blue! Seems as if the market got its proverbials in a twist over the coronavirus only to discover on Monday that the world hadn't ended. GLA
