I look for companies that are grossly undervalued and do in-depth research and then if I believe there is a substantial profit to be made I begin to accumulate. Then as more discover the share I slowly top-slice so as not to crash the share price and only initially remove my original stake and enjoy the free run. If the share goes up 200 or 300% like one of my current investments I remove a little more but always retain a substantial holding so as to benefit from the future increase in capital growth that I believe is attainable. With our interims due before the end of the month (I am pencilling in Thursday this week) I am expecting further good news and some details of the two large projects that missed the year end cut off. I expect gross margins will have increased a little again. Gross profit closer to £750K and BOD predicting a profitable year to end of March 2018. DYOR RKB

Hello, I have to agree that the price drop was overdone. I have taken a small position here (400) and if I can I will top-up if the price stays around this level. With the BOD buying and cancelling shares and having a good dividend all helps to. With my purchase price about �9 then this share is yielding 2.85% RKB

Slowly Accumulating I am not able to add much at present to this bb but I have been observing and always on the lookout for another share to invest in when I have top-sliced my other shares. I have slowly been accumulating and only every top-up if I can bring my average down. What I like about GRPH is that the mm have been increasing the spread recently. I believe most of the trades from 9:50am to 11.03am are actually buys. My small top-up at 10:33 was a buy and as the spread was 1.15 to 1.35 it is marked as a sell. I will continue to increase my holding as and when I can average down. DYOR RKB

Hi Robins If you bought at say £0.79 today you would have to hope their shares will re-rate and go back up. I believe they dropped £0.50 at the bell and I have not followed them. If they stay at the current price and as a fellow poster has already calculated you will receive in cash and shares £0.81 so although you pay no stamp duty on the share part of the offer and ignoring your dealing costs you would make £0.02 if you bought at £0.79 and waited till offere is completed. As there are no dates mentioned then normal takeover rules apply and then dates are moved if a second bidder comes in. As for the cash element, when it goes unconditional then a date will be announced and you will be informed when you will get the cash and shares also. RKB

Time value of money: I first invested in QP last October after the profits warning when share price crashed about 50% to £0.33. I did my research and felt the 50% drop was a bit harsh. The Bod got things sorted and tidied up and we were turning the corner and that is always a crucial point if you are going to survive. After today's undervalued offer I sold 50% of my shares at a substantial return in less than one year. Our share price will now be correlated to Clingen's share price and we will fluctuate from £0.75 to about £0.81. I do not think their share price will substantially re-rate so assuming it stays about the same the most we can hope for if you jump now (before it goes unconditional) is about £0.79. By selling half my shares now I have the money in the bank and can reinvest. Leaving the balance allows me to possibly obtain more if there is a competing offer but I don't think so. Will it go unconditional? I don't know but as I have a "free ride" I can sit back and watch from the sidelines. I have no intention of buying back in. After I sell I am away to find my next free ride. I wish all lth well you deserved more but it appears at the moment this is the best offer in town. RKB

I have been researching Oryx International Growth Fund which is managed by Harwood Capital Management and from their Annual Financial Report dated 4/07/16 they sate their Investment Policy. 'The Company principally invests in small and midsize quoted and unquoted companies in the United Kingdom and United States. The Investment Manager targets companies that have fundamentally strong business models but where there may be specific factors which are constraining the maximisation or realisation of shareholder value, which may be realised through the pursuit of an activist shareholder agenda by the Investment Manager'. Also they had at that time 4,500,000 shares in Quantum and they had to disclose that they had a cost of £2.7 million which is an average cost of £0.60. They then top-up then sell and then top-up once more. I think the reason Christopher Mills has been appointed to the BOD is to get things moving and show them the way. As always DYR

No need to apologise as I believe this BB is for us PI to have a mature discussion about the current share that we are discussing. I will aim in future to try to be more direct so as not to mislead anybody. For the record I bought 1,150 shares in OIG as I was trying to say that if a company worth more than £100 million is invested in Quantum I am happy to also invest in them. This share has great potential but I will let the guys who are normally on BB to say why they think it will "fly"

Hi PRB no I do not think that Oryx will cut and run. I think they will have agreed to take some more. I think they are very smart and as they took a small profit it was good for their shareholders. The fact they got out near this years top was good for them. After today assuming we close at £0.41 then they are up by almost £800K from yesterday (£796,500) and it will be (in my opinion nearer £1m profit) I believe Oryx will hold and increase so I therefor bought OIG at £6.79 but only had funds for 1,100. I am not advocating anybody buys OIG but I expect to see and nice little profit on this deal. Quantum will hold over £0.40 and will increase gradually over the next few months. As always DYR

watch what one of our larger shareholders does. Oryx International Growth Fund Ltd increased their holding on 27/07/16 to 3,789,429 at about £0.67 then sold some shares close to this years high of about £0.885. Then on 4/10/16 increased by 5,350,000 at about £0.365 and now Oryx have 8,850,000 Oryx are due a dividend of £88,500 soon. I think Oryx took a small profit on 24/08/16 as their six month end was due up on 30/09/16 so it was good for their books. The fact they called the high and got out should be noted. Also from yesterday at £0.33 and today at £0.41 Oryx are up on paper by about £708K. I will watch what they do. No doubt by Friday this BB will have all the guys posting there views which I look forward to. DYR
