Deposits are often clustered, that is why is exploration “nearology” is so important. Another thing about orebodies is that they are non linear in their size distribution. So you get lots of small deposits and a very few monsters. That’s why it starts to get interesting when you do a few step outs in the exploration drilling, because if it ain’t small and the orebody is still open in every direction, it may be a monster. Fingers crossed.

And Newcrest is involved in over 20 early stage partnerships, and it is Telfer and Havieron that was focussed on together with Red Chris. Interesting times for Greatland Gold...

He is talking plural there, “it frames the inftrastructure at Telfer in a very different way”. We haven’t seen these structures and high grades in the Paterson region before... again he is talking plural. So is this Havieron and Black Hills (assays pending)?

Actually I think the government do have some responsibility for the situation Sirius is in. It took years for Sirius to get planning permission because it is in a national park, planning was eventually granted but only after lengthy delay and it cost Sirius a small fortune. Where was the political support?

They spend billions on foreign aid and send billions to Brussels. They simply turn on the printing presses. They can help Sirius out, if the will is there.

Not invested here, but the small investors in SXX which will include many in the farming community get my sympathy. This is a project of national importance. Time for government to step in with funding guarantees methinks. This mine could run for a hundred years, will create thousands of jobs, will support hundreds of other small businesses, help secure our fertiliser supply and generate billions in tax revenue over the lifetime of the mine.

At least with five rigs on the go we should soon get an idea how large Havieron is and can do some rough calculations of how many million ounces there may be.

Hopefully today's news will derisk Havieron sufficiently for a few instutional investors to start taking positions. GGP will get bought out way before any ore comes out of the ground at Havieron I reckon. I see no large shareholders who could block such a move. As soon as Newcrest are satisfied that the orebody is sufficiently large and high grade they will make their move. The mine and all the infrastructure is already there at Telfer, the high grade stuff is therefore very valuable to Newcrest. Why would they want to end up paying up a 25% royalty to GGP? I doubt shareholders will see true value, but as the share price has already increased considerably over the last couple of years, many will do well I expect.

Exactly, Havieron is looking to be large and high grade. So what is at Black Hills and Scallywag? More news coming?

Ah just be patient. Without Nick Mather there would be no Solgold and without his agreement there will be no takeover. He acts in the best interests of shareholders because he is the biggest shareholder. And why should he sell out on the cheap? Go read the latest accounts for BHP, they are sat on billions of dollars. There are no other tier 1 projects like this to buy. Nick was right about BHP previously. He will get what he wants in the end... Solgold will either end up producing and generating monster dividends or it will get bouggt out at a premium. If BHP or another major want it, they need to pony up some serious cash.

Lol the market reaction to that rns is as slow as your wifi. Those snaps of gold nuggets are wasted on these institutions and private investors!! The only way you get a reaction from some fund managers nowadays is a car battery and nipple clamps.
