Not sure Sweden is going to avoid the worst. Graphs are going exponential and deaths in relation to UK population are circa 5,000 equivalent and are at least 2 weeks behind. I think they will have to follow other European countries with some form of lockdown. As we have seen any delay in strict action has severe consequences and it looks as we have 2 or more weeks of lockdown at least.

Although the virus spread is worldwide the hotspots are, as yet, in a fairly narrow band of latitude, which Sweden and Norway are currently just outside. As the weather gets warmer in these more northern latitudes the virus might become more virulent and widespread. Only time will tell if their strategy is right or they have been lucky, so far.
