Nolupus - I think "should" should is a stretch. Personally I think if they're beyond the point of SNG001 helping and unable to breathe enough to even get IFN-B in via inhalation then you're reaching the point where it's a lot less likely IFN-B will help. We can agree to disagree though and spare everyone a back and forth ;)

Not commenting on the company as a whole Nolupus - rather that I think a lot of hot money has floated in there after the SNG rise - and I don't think SNG doing well is a good thing for them (as a competitor with a system to get the drug to the lungs that's not only potentially more effective/safer due to localised delivery, no need for painful injections, no need for hospital visits, hospital staff to administer, can maintain isolation, etc).
So their others things may do well, but short term, I think it's a bit of an unwarranted spike.

A lot of stuff is rising as SNG profits plough into other AIM stocks especially bios. Faron's traumakine looks like a dead duck in comparison to SNG's method.

Corticosteroids were an exclusion criteria in one of the trials and have been a known issue for quite a while now.

PART 1 - Exclusion Criteria:
Any condition, including findings in the medical history or in the pre-randomisation assessments that in the opinion of the Investigator, constitutes a risk or a contraindication for the participation of the patient in the study or that could interfere with the study objectives, conduct or evaluation.
Current treatment or treatment within the past 6 weeks with oral corticosteroids.

Not sure if it was in both (not listed on the COVID trial but has a general caveat about being up to the investigator).

Complicated sciencey stuff....but think it's essentially as simple as corticosteroids damp down the immune response (including messing with interferon signalling) to reduce inflammation whereas supplementation with interferon-beta is trying to help the body fight back better in the way it should. So unsurprising the former doesn't help the latter.

If you'd asked me on Friday I'd have said further off than that Chris96. Recruitment having been slow with virus levels over here being reduced in recent times and RM was pretty non-commital about that in the webcast. Media yesterday will have helped promote it but I wouldn't be "expecting" that particularly soon necessarily. Then they've got to analyse that data. I wouldn't be "expecting" it any time soon as I think there's a high chance of setting yourself up for disappointment on that front.

There's loads of safety data Nickel_Investor. Synairgen have been giving this to people for over a decade and it's a natural protein anyway. Compared to most drugs this is amongst the very safest.

I do believe it's a myth though and not worth wasting your time doing.

There's a widely myth about putting in a limit sell order miles above the current prices to stop them loaning out your shares. If I remember rightly it's probably misguided (I don't know).

The Oxford trial is for a vaccine that's getting rather OTT news coverage considering how far off it is from being a reality yet.

To quote The Times' science editor:
"To be clear on this, this is indeed exciting - but this is not proof it works. Now we need results from the field. It is more it would have been catastrophic if it hadn't performed like this at this stage."

Still nowhere near real-world vaccination of millions of people.

Yeah the BBC seem particularly sh*t at reporting it and load it with caveats whilst trumpeting the vaccine which is nowhere near being ready yet. Probably under instruction by Cummings to hype that up because they've wasted lots of money buying lots of uproven vaccines.
