It was fairly obvious all the usual suspects were going to say don't buy...and they did.

I won't comment on the likihood of success of the share, or tell you to buy or not, but purely on the trading front, if there isn't an RNS Monday morning, you still should be able to buy in the 30's rather than 40's, unless the large buyer from friday is going for it strongly.
So, if you want to buy first thing, I'd probably try to electronically at 8am, whilst also ringing your broker in case that doesn't work and get them to do it for you (you can often deal via phone when you can't online).

Got the point finally that you don't need to unblind a trial or have the full results to have a some idea of how it's likely gone?

He won't have had the full results, but he may well know that a lot of the patients recovered more quickly than expected, without having the full results and knowing which were on placebo. As such he could be quietly confident about the upcoming results.

Though I still have the suspicion, based on RMs interview, that things may have actually gone better in the COVID trials than he probably originally hoped.

Could get some proper meltdowns if they announce inconclusive COVID data but good COPD data and get a load of initial sellers, then announce a deal with big pharma for the lot, who fund P3's in COPD, and also run some more expedited COVID trials in the US which they could probably fill nearly instantly ;)

Yeah not bothered by the people trying to get people to obsess about the negatives.
I fully expect this every time we're near the lows, as PI's have a habit of selling out or reducing at the bottom, and never being able to see big rises until they've already happened.
Fact is, regardless of some of the nutcase rampers from Friday, there had already been significant sized trades coming in, almost certainly significantly reducing Acacia's holding, and giving confidence that bigger players are buying in.
Acacia can't have that much left now and they could be out on tomorrow's volume, or the next day, or the day after, but it won't be that long, that's for sure!
Regardless, if good news comes, they'll definitely be an irrelevance, and the volume will go nuts.

I don’t think those takeover rules are of any real relevance unless it was a Chinese company.
They won’t block big pharma doing deals with UK minnow companies to help unlock the potential.
In fact they’d probably welcome it - maybe with the assurance the UK get access to doses they want.
I think they’re more focused on larger or more specialist research companies with strategic importance to the UK, which Synairgen wouldn’t be, barring ensuring any deal doesn’t prevent them getting access to a therapy.

I'm pretty shocked at the VRP price. Considering they've placed $200m at 45p. That means anyone who bought in their placing are nearly 150% up in a day and they account for about 75% of the shares in issue. Hard to imagine none of them will dump into that rise.

Well if you understand that they're not all sells....why did you say they were all sells!?
